But what do we need to do do elevate our facilities even more above Arkansas, LSU, A&M and oxford?
Are we going to build another Lofts out in the outfield ?
Thought I saw something about that ?
I think we need to do away with one of the Berms and put in chairbacks instead.
It’s more comfortable for the fan experience and maybe puts more capacity?
Build a third tier for students and or donors in the right field area.
This again adds more capacity and I think a 17,500 seat stadium would sell out plus still selling GA/SRO seats.
We could easily get 20,000 on big SEC weekends.

Just put bleacher above the lofts for now, sell them as season tickets and that'll bring in a ton of revenue. Now is the time to do something like this as it would sell this year and people would show up. Start there while sat other lofts are being built. We have too much demand and not enough seats. Hide port o John's under the bleachers and add pop up trailer for beer and food also. Not hard. We need to make money now while interest is high. I think this is where we've fallen flat in the past. When support is high and you can make money, do it. Don't just go with the easy route and do things the way they've always done and cruise along. Ole miss put bleachers in the end zone until they finally upgraded the end zone in football. They knew they'd sell it and made money. Our administration has been so lazy and always behind. Hopefully things are changing.

I get the sentiment. And making the stadium more accessible to the general public probably needs to be a top priority. But other than that, what does expanding really do? MSU owns the top 20 in record attendance and it doesn't equate to #1 recruiting classes. Maybe that's something that happens under BOC and that would be a testament to HIS recruiting. But overall, building bigger and bigger just to say you can host 20k, doesn't make waves in the college baseball world. Otherwise Coastal Carolina, Fresno State, Rice, Cal State Fullerton, even UCLA don't win natties.

Other than making decent seats more readily available to average fans, I don't think anything needs to be done to elevate it. It's already the best. Don't do anything to screw up the charm and originality that it inherently has. Just win baseball games and the the fans will take care of it.

Let’s figure out how we can screw up a good thing. So glad we made more money on empty seats in the Hump. It was a terrible atmosphere when people who actually attended bought the seats down low. You member?

I've never had a season ticket. I just want the option to buy individual game chairback tickets at a reasonable price. That's money that State wouldn't have made before.

I think it's safe to say atmosphere at the Dude will never be a problem. Especially as long as the team doesn't just completely suck, but really even then.

The only way for you to do that, assuming you don't know someone with tickets who sell them to you for face value, is to get season tickets.

We have a big demand. Therefore, any new seats will likely get sold as season tickets. And you're average Joe fan still won't be able to get one unless he pays higher than face. Remember, people who bought season tickets also had to make a donation.

If BOC wins big, it will get even worse. The only chance the average Joe has is if there is GA seating and you'll still have to get there early.

You aren't entitled to a chairback at (what you would probably consider) a reasonable price. If you want reasonable, go watch MiLB or something.

Price increases are inevitable, but you really don't want corporations swooping in and buying them up. Attendance will suffer.

When revenue from ticket sales becomes the priority, it can change quickly. Again, take a look at the hump seating changes

Does everything you touch turn to fecal matter? This is not about the current status quo of Dudy Noble. The way that Dudy Noble sits in it's current state is what you are describing. What I'm referring to is the future expansion of Dudy Noble. When they do that, it will add more chairbacks to the stadium and for them to help them with that expansion financially, they need to be able to offer individual game chairback tickets to sell. Currently Mississippi State makes $0.00 off of individual game chairback ticket sales because it doesn't exist. All they have to do is provide the option.

The atmosphere at a baseball game is probably the best thing we do. Don’t mess with it.

The hump seating is mostly screwed up bc the team has been mediocre.

It also never had the following baseball does. Ever.

And if they can add more chair backs and sell as season tickets they will and should. Everyone does it that way.

I hate to say it for the berm crowd, but they are going first. The demand for season tickets is too high and expansion is needed. There is also room to expand the upper deck on both sides, which would include the accompanying boxes and premium levels. Anything GA related will end up somewhere in right field. Selmon has already discussed this on podcasts and at other events.

If they invest the capital to add chairbacks, then they are going to sell them to those who are on the season ticket waiting list. They aren't just going to hold them for single games sales when they can guarantee they all get sold as season tickets along with the required BDC donation. That makes the most fiscal sense for the athletic department. If you want single game chairback tickets, you'll have to pay the going rate on SeatGeek. I do think they will add some non-chairback GA seating at somepoint. Possibly in the right field corner where the kid's section currently gets setup.

This is the right answer. Build at least enough chairbacks to meet season ticket demand (ideally a few more for growth) and add a couple thousand bleacher seats.

Well, yeah it did. There were substantial seat license charges to pay for both of the stadium renovations. Just like there would be for another one to fix the under-built one a few years ago.

I think that’s different than raising the price to where supply equals demand. Hope they don’t go your route. I think we should keep pricing in line with what we currently do (that doesn’t mean never increase prices).

Like I said in an earlier post, the berms are not going to last much longer. Selmon has already discussed the future of those areas, and it's not a bunch of fans with lawn chairs racing to save a spot. They will add additional chairbacks down both lines in place of the berms first, the extend the upper decks next with boxes, and somewhere in the middle of that provide extra seating for GA behind the right field lounges (right of the scoreboard).

He also mentioned adding more lofts and creating a bullpen premium seating area. Don't know how that will work, but it's in his head.

I have said from the beginning that "we didn't build it big enough" and with the waiting list for season tickets I have been proven correct. Another item Cohen screwed up, and I'm glad he's gone.
