Might want to consider Bully's Kid Club for your kids, of course the ROI would be based on how often you get to Starkvegas. Also FYI SEC weekends last season for GA tickets were approx double what the out of conference games were.First off I don’t think we need expansion for sake of bigger and bigger attendance records. I’m not even sure we’d get them. But I do think it should happen, and view it as an investment into the next generation of MSU baseball fans / support. And it will increase revenue as well.
I was in town for the weekend of the South Carolina series with my kids. Knowing that they are too young to be super interested in the game, but might like the spectacle of it, and wouldn’t sit still but would maybe like to roam around the stadium….I scoped out possibly just getting GA tickets. That’s how I got hooked at a young age when my Dad used to take me. But holy shít. Literally was going to be nearly $100 just to get the 4 of us in the stadium, and that’s before parking, concessions, souvenirs, etc. And we wouldn’t even have seats. So I made an easy call to not go, knowing we’d be lucky to get an hour out of it before legs started hurting, it got too hot, etc.
It’s just crazy because when I was growing up - in this same century so no that long ago - I had a season GA pass that was $50. Total….for the whole season. Wasn’t a lounge regular either. Mostly sat in bleachers, would move to grandstand in the 4th / 5th when they let you, and popped into the lounges here and there. Probably wouldn’t give 2 shíts at all about MSU baseball today if I got detached quickly from the live product in my formative years, due to getting priced out. But that’s what we’re doing now to lots of folks. In general we just need more seating, and some actual seating needs to be allocated for students and GA, don’t care where it is in the stadium or how nice it is….just make room for 800-1,000 people to put their asś on something that they don’t have to carry into the stadium with them. That’s it. And make those 800-1,000 seats affordable (along with any additional SRO tickets), which you can do if you’re expanding down the lines with more premium / chairback seating, and increasing cost of existing grandstand / skyboxes / lounge spots.
