I am confident that Michigan and Illinois backed off. I am also confident that Treadwell, if he makes it (I have no clue on that), won't be a #1 in the country type impact player like Julio Jones. He'll be a solid player though.

I also admit I don't like the thought of losing Mix and Jones.

Just calling it the way I see it. I personally don't care about your class as long as we get ours. It's a matter of losing Jones period, not where he goes if we don't get him.

All these useless posts later, many of which include off-the-wall predictions by you that blow up in your face(Deshea and weren't you the one that raised hell about Nick James/Quay Evans never playing a down?), and you still don't know the rules of SPS with regard to ban bets...color me shocked**

So, explain to us what happened between Treadwell and Michigan -- his longterm leader? He just lost interest when he came to the mecca that is Oxford in comparison to Ann Arbor?** I don't pretend to know the story here -- but I've heard whispers about potential grade risks for months now, since long before Ole Miss was considered his clear leader. Next, you are going to tell me that Elijah Daniel isn't a significant grade risk either -- although Florida cancelled his in-home and OV just weeks before his commitment to OM due to their admissions standards...

This isn't a shot at OM. It's a known fact that BOTH of us can get kids qualified in MS that generally don't qualify elsewhere -- and you are even better at it than us, but we both learned from David Saunders. Everyone understands that. You got Powe in. You got Ward in on his last ACT try. No one doubts your ability to get kids into school that don't get in elsewhere. That doesn't mean that B1G schools that are members of the AAU can do the same thing...

I wasn't wrong in the Deshea post, you can go look again if you'd like. I never said he wouldn't come. I said I wouldn't get my hopes up. If you want to take me to task for that, you might want to do the same for Coach34 and his "I wouldn't get my hopes up" post about Chris Jones visiting OM.

I'd like you to show me a credible link that shows any of them backed off for grades.

You talk about Daniels as if him not visiting Florida is some type of award for you, but just a few weeks ago you were bragging about Brewster getting you in the door with Daniel.

don't understand why Jones would tell a network recruiting guy one thing and McCready something else. I will say though if McReady put that out there I would put more weight on that info than something a random national recruiting guy says though.

Typical that an OM "lawyer" would try to spin a comparison between taking a kid with a known injury and then fully cutting him for that same injury to taking a kid early with an understanding about grade improvement and him not living up to his end of the bargain though thus making his offer a greyshirt offer. But keep "seeing what you want to see." I haven't been "in hiding" about a well-framed argument that got picked apart for having no foundation. I've been off here because the board is unreadable for the most part right now. Few on here are looking for any logic in the situation -- many are looking for scapegoats to blame when stuff goes wrong.

Michigan and Illinois /=/ Oklahoma and Oklahoma St academically -- and I'd heard of no B1G school involved in Treadwell's recruitment for awhile. Why did they back off? Why does a kid from Chicago suddefnly become interested in all these programs so far from home when his initial interest was almost solely in the B1G?

"Some type of award" for Daniel? What are you even talking about? We've known all along he was a grade risk worth taking to come to MSU as well. It's no different than Treadwell in that regard. Why, again, would a kid from the heart of B1G country be down to 2 MS schools? Obvious answer is obvious. Simple fact is that we got beat in that recruiting battle, and I have no problem admitting it.

Why do you have your panties in a wad about these guys being known grade risks? It's not a big deal. Nowhere did I imply that we wouldn't recruit/take them as well -- just spoke on what we've heard all along from multiple sources.

Coach66 didn't say he KNEW Treadwell wasn't going to qualify, nor did he predict that he wouldn't qualify. He simply said that he has information that there is a POSSIBILITY that he won't qualify. Why would someone make a bet over something that he said was just a possibility?

This post is a clear view of how big of a **** you are.

First off, you bragged for days about your "friendship" with Deshea, and how we "shouldn't get your hopes up" about him coming. You danced around the subject like a clown and said everything except "he ain't going to MSU"....and you were wrong. Spin it how you want to though.

And as for Quay Evans and Nick James...how dumb could your comment possibly be? These two guys were true freshmen this year and you're already saying "weren't much to get upset about anyway"? Typical of you and your horrible posts, horrible judgement, and zero knowledge.

Look at the offenses run at the schools in Treadwell's final 3. Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and OkSt all pass the ball around a lot. Michigan doesn't even have a real QB right now. Why Treadwell eliminated Michigan isn't a secret.

I asked you to provide some links that show Michigan passed on him...or maybe even some credible links that say he has a grade problem. Apparently you can't find any.

Forgive him for he knows not what he says. Any school that can get Powe and Oher eligible and keep them eligible can probably get a hog enrolled. There is only one place that can trick the system and then count on the complicity of a faculty that has mailed it in in order to live a life of moonlight and magnolias on the plantation.

Which league would you rather play in, the SEC or the Big 10? Gee, I'm really looking forward to that game against... Rutgers... And don't forget, one of his high school team mates plays for Ole Miss already.

If Michigan wanted him, they could qualify him. Dude, State laid the hammer on Michigan just two bowls ago. Is it really that much of a stretch to think a mid to low level SEC team beat a mid to low level Big 10 team for a recruit?
