Am I wrong about the assistant coaches contracts expiring on June 30th? We could be looking at a completely new staff.......UNLESS the university hires Erik Martin.
Eirk Martin is retiring? He just got the head coaching job at South Carolina State last year. And he's pretty young (52 years old). Geez.Erik Martin is not going to the next HC. He is retiring as well. Nothing says they can't be rehired if interim guy is hired.
If they clean house it will play out bad for the first season.
My bad was thinking of someone else. But your the expert have at it.Eirk Martin is retiring? He just got the head coaching job at South Carolina State last year. And he's pretty young (52 years old). Geez.
Not an expert. But keep it rolling. My bad was thinking of someone else. But your the expert have at it.
Ron Everhart is who I was thinking of on the retirement. Not an expert. But keep it rolling.
You'reMy bad was thinking of someone else. But your the expert have at it.
He or Frank Martin probably are the only proven coaches who would be attainable at this stage of the hiring cycle, but I really hope we don’t go the route of chasing random Huggins disciples, unless for some reason Mick Cronin wanted the job.Andy Kennedy is #1 on the short list of early picks.
We will go with a younger coach. Probably from a mid-major level. Call the guy from Florida Atlantic. He or Frank Martin probably are the only proven coaches who would be attainable at this stage of the hiring cycle, but I really hope we don’t go the route of chasing random Huggins disciples, unless for some reason Mick Cronin wanted the job.
I want to see the University pursue a coach who is completely different than what Huggins was in terms of personality and playing style. Trying to chase the past has always been a losing strategy when a legend leaves, we have to let a new guy come in and make the program his own.
You spelled that right!!! Remedial English is working for you.
Momma always said the retards will follow. And here you are.You spelled that right!!! Remedial English is working for you.
That is the saddest list I’ve heard. This administration has been shooting low for the past 5 years so it’s probably accurate.Dusty May - Florida Atlantic
Pat Kelsey - College of Charleston
Preston Spradlin - Morehead State
Bob Richey - Furman
Greg McDermott - Creighton
Matt Langel - Colgate
Florida Atlantic has made as many final fours in the past 20 years as WVU. Just saying. That is the saddest list I’ve heard. This administration has been shooting low for the past 5 years so it’s probably accurate.
Disagree. That is the saddest list I’ve heard. This administration has been shooting low for the past 5 years so it’s probably accurate.
Shouldn't you be correcting spelling errors?Of course you do lol.
Very short list for "home runs".Who is on the short list of home run coaches?
Why don't you donate once in your life and help support WVU sports instead of low IQ ramblings on a message board....Very short list for "home runs".
1. Jay Wright
2. Joe Mazzulla
But there are a lot of doubles out there.

Ken Griffey Jr., Barry Bonds, & Mark McGuireWho is on the short list of home run coaches?
These "sad" guys all have better resumes than Beilein did when we hired him. I'd also include Tobin Anderson, who's career trajectory is a lot like Beilein's. Anderson moved from FDU to Iona to replace Pitino, but I don't think we'd have any trouble poaching Iona's coach if we wanted to go that route. That is the saddest list I’ve heard. This administration has been shooting low for the past 5 years so it’s probably accurate.
Joe M still has some things to prove and hasnt coached in college, so I would not call him home run yet, but pretty close. Wright would be a home run.Very short list for "home runs".
1. Jay Wright
2. Joe Mazzulla

I think it would be best at this point to hire an interim coach within the staff and ride the wave at this point. After Huggs gets out of rehab in a couple months he will be coming out of retirement anyway. We may as well sign him back before anyone else does.Erik Martin is not going to the next HC. He is retiring as well. Nothing says they can't be rehired if interim guy is hired.
If they clean house it will play out bad for the first season.
Ha! That was my first thought too, but I had Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth too.Ken Griffey Jr., Barry Bonds, & Mark McGuire
Might as well ask Calipari. He hasn't won a natty in over a decade and didn't even go to the dance in 20 and 21. Kentucky fans want to move on to a real winner! :>)
Joe just signed with Celtics (three years and $14 million as interim. Boston also agreed to a contract extension with Mazzulla, and although the terms weren't disclosed, it's a clear sign that the Celtics have cut ties with Udoka and are ready to move forward with Mazzulla.)Very short list for "home runs".

He asked who would be “home runs”. I never said either would even entertain the thought.Joe just signed with Celtics (three years and $14 million as interim. Jay Wright will not be here.
I believe they're going to clean house and start with permanent staff already. It's why Mazulla and Ganzy spoke to the team on coaching changes.
Actually I did Google “retarded responses”. And it linked me to your account. Odd?LOW IQ indeed.....what did you type to google that? "Wrestling catch phrases in 2003".....LMAO....what a ****.''
I bet you still wear your NWO shirt you purchased in 1998,,,,
Don't care what you said or meant. I replied. He asked who would be “home runs”. I never said either would even entertain the thought.
Ok. Don’t care either. You are the one that’s bouncing all over the place with your predictions. One thread it’s “interim coach and retain coaching staff” and another it’s “permanent hire and new staff”. You could be a politician.Don't care what you said or meant. I replied.
Up and comers at a lower tier school...just like HC Neal Brown!!That is the saddest list I’ve heard. This administration has been shooting low for the past 5 years so it’s probably accurate.
