So was Relf hurt or suspended for South Carolina?

All things considered, I think it has to be one of the two. Unless Mullen is going bipolar regarding his QBs.

(1) Relf started every game until UAB.
(2) Russell had a good second half vs UAB and earned the starting job.
(3) Russell started against S Carolina, and had a few decent moments.
*this is where I begin to wonder*
(4) Despite Russell being inconsistent, Relf doesn't see the field during SC.
(5) When Russell is injured for 1 play vs SC, Relf still doesn't play.
(6) When we get in the red zone or short yardage vs SC, Relf still doesn't play.
(7) Flash forward to UK, and Relf comes in on the second series, despite being backed up on our own side of the field.
(8) Russell's first series vs UK consisted of two handoffs, so he wasn't pulled for a "spark".

The fact that Relf go no time at all during SC leads me to believe that he was either injured or suspended for SC. There were rumors about his injury, but he also said some things after the UAB game. </p>

.... because that gadget play when Russell got hurt made absolutely no sense ... unless he had 36 to 1 odds (because that was defined as a major leage gamble)

Broken non throwing hand. Supposedly that came from an offensive coach.

Also heard broken ribs, but that wasn't from the same person. Who knows though. That could all be ********.

If anyone noticed, Ralph had a wrap on his left wrist/hand at the UK game, made me wonder if he had been hurt.

That is what I figure. Also that you can forget Dan Mullin sharing that kind of information if he has any chance of keeping it secret, as in they carry the dude off the field on a golf cart. Then he might say, "he has a knee...".
