yes I don't think republicans have a lock on 2026. There are too many unanswered issues right now. We've seen the affordability issue, but we also have healthcare, immigration, inflation among others that Trump, in the minds of voters, has not solved.
We will see. I would agree that affordability is the big issue.

Lots of sky is falling.

Democratic Incumbents reelected or Deep Blue States staying deep blue.

No surprise but disappointment

Just take humor in the lefts desperation to be relevant......

So you replace what was Democratic with some Democrats and a Communist and that is considered a massive victory

I must say that YES it is a victory for the COMMUNISTS

AND YES THAT IS TRULY SOMETHING FOR THEM TO CELBRATE

THE COMMUNISTS NOW HAVE A STRONG FOOTHOLD IN AMERICA THROUGH NEW YORK

Palmetto: C'mon now. Relax. Mamdani is a mayor. He's neither a president nor a governor. As such, his ability to implement his vision is pretty damn limited. The laws that NYPD enforces are largely made at the state level. The courts are state courts. His power to levy taxes is pretty minimal compared to state and federal government. All this conservative wailing and gnashing of teeth about it being "the end" for the City of New York is laughable.
are you saying that he built his campaign on promises that were beyond his control and that voters were too stupid to understand that?

is this a "whataboutism" I didn't think they were allowed on this board
you're way too old for me to have to explain this to you, but whataboutism would be if you had waited till the good mayor had one term or a substantial period in office before attempting to criticize him for not delivering on campaign promises instead of accusing him of it before ever taking office.

i'm merely mocking your willingness to extend your vote to a buffoon whose clown show and total ineptness you witnessed for the better part of a decade as his second term unsurprisingly crashes and burns in increasingly spectacular fashion at the expense of everyday Americans.

you voted for this **** and you're worried about NYC. irony, not whataboutism in the truest sense. most of my issues with your constant strain of whataboutism involves the false equivalency aspect whereby you constantly attempt to make comparisons with no concept of scope or in some cases truth. you're very keen on comparing hangnails to endstage cancer.
