i actually really enjoy watching soccer on TV. granted i don't watch a lot of MLS, but the upper level euro leagues, world cup, euro cup, etc. are great TV imo. outside of football, i'd put it against any TV sport. the only reason i pay much attention to basketball is because of MSU. i couldn't care less about the NBA. i might check out some playoff games in 7 months.

and that's why a big time soccer match along with a big time baseball game are far more intense than anything football or basketball can offer. the games unfold on the field naturally without timeout after timeout after timeout stretching the final minutes into a half hour affair and killing any momentum.
yeah baseball has the natural breaks in the innings that allow for commercials,b ut it's natural. otherwise only a pitching change breaks the pace of the game, and generally in high pressure situations, a team is sticking with the best relief arm they got.

Let me tell you too, Soccer is a much better game than baseball. This is coming from someone who played baseball their entire youth. Also, soccer is easier to watch than baseball. Also, one thing I really like about watching soccer over football and something else I think will lead to fewer people watching football.........is the continually moving clock and no commercials. Football has almost become unwatchable (unless I am watching State or the Cowboys or top 10 NCAA game) because of all the commercials. Soccer doesn't have that.
