Soooooo- I thought we were supposed to worry about losing tonight?

I don't get the negative posts about Ray. He seems to be doing an impressive job with the hand he's been dealt. I like the guy and I LOVE the way the team is playing.

I'm actually getting a little more optimistic about getting this thing at least back to respectability maybe even next year. If we get everyone currently playing a year of experience this year and get Steele back healthy in January AND add back in a reasonably healthy Applewhite and Davis next year AND tack on the 4 mostly quality signees we just got then I could see us being a very competitive team next year.

Yep...SEC basketball will allow us to rebuild a little faster

If by "competitive" you mean 13-14 wins then I agree. I still think we will be damn lucky if we win more than 8-9 games this year.

That is not a knock on Coach Ray at all either. We just do not have the horses and no amount of coaching is going to overcome that right now.

I agree we will be extremely lucky to reach double digits victories this year but next year I could see us being in the 15-18 win range depending on the difficulty of the schedule.

Next year we will "Stansbury schedule" our way to 16-17 wins at least. There wont be any North Carolina's, Texas, or Marquette's in the OOC. And with the weakness of the SEC- we will win 5-6-7 games in conference. I can almost guarantee 16-17 wins next year

Amen. Last night there were like 4 possessions where the ball was lost by both teams and it took 20 seconds to gain possession by someone where I thought I was watching a Globetrotters game.

These guys just aren't good. But I think Sword playing out of position, not having Applewhite, Davis, and Steele and having to play Lewis because we have only one other option is exposing that even more. If we have those guys we beat Troy and Texas and lose by a respectable margin against UNC. Can't fault Ray for the roster. This would have been Stans' first win of the season.
