Oh they were pissed about Bo getting fired. Harold boasted on the board that he was working on getting recruits to decommit a after he was canned.
Not recruits. Current players. The amount of douchebagery that it takes to make that claim is sad. Even more sad all of the clown-shoes that believe his crap. Like when he said Osborne cut off communication with the current regime..... or was T.O. lying again today?

We won. I'm a win is a win guy. I have no delusional visions of grandeur reflected onto this team. I've been waiting for all the pieces to come together for this team, it just hasn't happened. But, it still could. Now on to the more difficult part of our schedule.

This is where I am too. At some point one would hope a person would just sit back and enjoy the ride. Was it a perfect performance? No. Did the Huskers get the win? Yes. In the end, that's all that matters. It's year 2, recruiting has gone well, improved win total wise from a year ago and still have a lot of the season left.

I said before the season that I was going to try my best to avoid being skeptical and pessimistic like I was at times last year and just enjoy the ride good or bad. To this point, it's been good. Who knows how the rest of the season will go but at least to this point, I'm pleased with how big of a change it's been from last year to this year. It has given me hope that they're not as far away as I thought from being potential contenders in the conference. All I wanted was hope, last season didn't give me much until the bowl game, this year I have hope of better days ahead. GBR, get the W next weekend!

Wow, that is pathetic. How a person can put themselves wanting to be right over us winning games is just unfathomable. WTH happened to those guys??? At least a few of them (go_akers and Aaron5) were good posters on this site for quite a while. Harold even brought some good material. This just blows my mind.

There were like 3 TA over throws this game that, had they not been, we'd have had 18 more points. 45-14 and 85% of the haters are silent. And keeping with the "what-if" thought process, notice had tommy connected those passes and we win 45-14, the staff still calls the same game it did @ 27-14. Banker has proven himself well this year. HCMR has proven himself well this year. The only guys who I still question are Bruce Read & Coach Cav.

Read cause well, he's who he is. Cav is really a major liability and he's a guy I originally thought at first hire would be ok. Cav has got to learn to work with more lineman. He can't juggle more than 5 bodies. O-lineman that in fall practice who were on the crisp of playing aren't on the radar anymore. It appears to be because he doesn't work with them as much anymore. He wants his 5 guys & that's it. When our guys get injured the team is screwed. No reason we shouldn't have run down Purdue's throats but we couldn't. Our O-line wasn't doing its job because it's hurt. So DL was forced to call plays he shouldn't. And that's on Cav for not getting the back-ups ready. And before I get the "we don't have talent crowd", trust me, we do.

Again, two coaches are holding us back right now. They either need to ship up or ship out.

Call me Kirk Herbstreit or whatever his name is. We've played no one. But we've beaten every team put in front of us and that's great. But I just think Wisconsin is the better football team. As much as it pains me to say. At least their defense looks good. Offensively idk. I would love to see us bottle up Corey Clement and beat Wisc for his flip phone comments a while back, though. Especially at their house. It'll be a huge game for sure. (And one that'll prob give me a heart attack)

TL;DR

Must suck being 7-0.

Not sure what that means, but I feel he had a really solid reaponse. I enjoyed it, outside of the talent part, thanks @spinner4

He's one of the guys who finds something to ***** at. I don't care if it's an interesting read. It doesn't matter with his kind. It's an end to justify the means and that's an unhappy state of mind. I, for one, will enjoy 7-0.

Damn, WTH has happened to those guys? And HTH can a person be on the side of Bo Pelini at the time he was fired?? He had done everything possible to deserve getting canned. And he should have been fired a long time earlier than when he was.
All because Bo talked to Harold for 5 minutes at one of the dinners Bo hated. It's laughably sad.

I feel like our performance in any given week has nothing to do with what happens the next week. I'm not sure why. We will play well against Wisconsin!

After reading this thread, I'm actually impressed. I expected all of the negativists and people just waiting on the edge of their seats for this team to fail to come out of the woodwork and tell us why this really feels like a loss even when it was a win. There's only a couple of those types on here, so maybe we're making some progress.

One thing that I get so tired of hearing that I've been hearing all season is "if we play like this against team X, then we'll lose" or something like that. For people that say that, do you think you are making some kind of bold statement that everybody else doesn't see? Do you think there is anybody who thinks we could play like we played today and beat Wisconsin or Ohio State? Don't you think the coaches and players know that too? Do you think they are satisfied with how everything went today and they don't need to get better? But it isn't it interesting that we've been hearing that all season, and yet we are still 7-0? Some way, somehow this team find a way to win even when they aren't playing their best. Everybody knows the next two weeks will be tough. But I'm certainly not going to just give up hope and chalk up the next two weeks as automatic losses like some people will. Many of the people who think that way also thought we'd have at least a couple of losses by now too. And yet those same people don't want to give us any credit for being 7-0.

This team is good at playing down to an opponent, bottom line. That's not a good thing, but also not a sign of what could happen the next few weeks.
