South Columbus at West Brunswick

West Brunswick is athletic and will be a problem on both sides of the ball for South Columbus. They have mental breakdowns at times, but most high school teams do. I don't know if West Brunswick is better than East Bladen, but I predict a repeat from Saturday night.
Man....SC has gotta break through this...a competitive game would build so much confidence. Hoping for a good week of practice and motivated Stallions!
Let's hope some adjustments are being made this week. I understand one of our better defensive players will be back this week. Not sure if he'll be in the game but will be on the side lines none the less. We have GOT to eliminate the predictability of our offense and get our linemen to create some holes for Legget and Daniels to run through.
It would surely help our linemen and running backs to have some plays that hit the hole just as quickly as the qb could get the ball to the backs. It seems like it takes forever for the backs to get the ball into their hands. It's almost like the linemen are asked to hesitate before they start their blocking and that's no slur on the players. Defense doesn't seem to know exactly what they are suppossed to be doing, players just seem confused. I know it's easy to watch from the sidelines and critique but some of this stuff is just too obvious. South Columbus in extremely one diminisional right now with no passing game and the running plays are so predictable. Players do seem to be playing hard, maybe Coach should go back a few years and watch some game footage from Stallion teams from the past. Don't get me wrong, those past Stallion teams were often one dimensional but the plays were run so effectively that it was just hard to stop. Opposing teams knew exactly what they would be seeing every week but had trouble stopping it, that is just not the case right now. I am not beating down our coaches or players and would like nothing better than to see South get on a roll and win big with what we are doing now, just doesn't seem like it's going to happen. Keep working hard South Columbus players and coaches, Stallion Nation will be there to support you as long as you do just that. Go Stallions!!
Dirty,what is so different the last two years on this team. It sounds as if everything has changed there. Some point and time the players are going to have to rise up and play to 100 % of their ability. If they do that that's all they can do. Fundementals are the same year in and out. Tackling blocking,catching passes. If the system is new they have to learn it,this second year now. Play calling is on staff,u guys had one of best staffs in conf.
U lost alot in that aspect last 2 years. It will be fine in long run.
