This ....

I’ve had to miss more games than I wanted.... I have 4 kids and if the wife has to work Friday nights no way I’m paying $30 to get in plus food and drinks for 5 people. It adds up quick.... maybe some of y’all pocket is a lot deeper than mine but it’s tough even if you don’t eat at the game you gotta stop and get something cause it’s to late to cook once you get home
Would you pay half that? $7 for one adult plus $2 for 4 students = $15

I hate to say it but I think S Col falls in this one. Really hope the Stallions can pull it off, but you never know. Good luck Stallions we're pulling for y'all in WRH Country!

Think it was mentioned in earlier post but I'm pretty sure due to NCHSAA guidelines you cannot stream live playoff games. Unfortunate since many games are too far for some folks to make the drive.
Sure you can. I listened to the Whiteville game, SC game, and Shelby game last night.

The S. Columbus/Reidsville game will be the 2nd time these two teams have ever played.....first time was in S. Columbus (outside of Tabor City) in 1998, when in the 2nd round of the playoffs, Reidsville ended S. Columbus unbeaten season with a surprising 37-7 score.....................................
Isn't that the year we played Tarboro as well? The stadium lights were dim, they had no stripes on the football and they ran the wing T? Gurley has been playing well and I played back in 03 for the Rams is why I ask. I miss Reidsville football...Gurley should have played for the Wolfpack haha

yeah but that was 1998, years before Gurley played....Rams laid an egg that nite after looking great Vs. South Columbus and Clinton only to look like a different club versus Tarboro in the regional final......................

Gurley was probably like 5 years old then lol I was in the 5th grade when Reidsville came into Tabor City and slapped us around .... I’ll never forget that disappointment as long as I live ... I really thought that we had the team to go all the way ... I’d love for South to return the favor but I know that’s more than a long shot

In the 1998 playoffs, The week before South Columbus had beaten Eastern Guilford (who at that time was in the same conference as Reidsville) and beat them pretty handily (67-20) setting a national record for rushing yardage in a game (since broken)......In the Reidsville game South Columbus took the opening kickoff and had a long drive (16 plays, 79 yards) that resulted in a TD and a 7-0 lead....after that....Reidsville's passing game took over....Josh Duncan was 15-26 for 239 yards and five td passes.....Victor Slade was in on 9 tackles...two sacks..recovered a fumble...caught 4 passes for 111 yards and 2 td's and punted 4 times for a 40 yard avg.......Reidsville went on to win 37-7............

IIRC in 1998 there were several unsportsmanlike calls against stallions late in that game as SC got frustrated. Maybe even a couple ejections.

This will be the biggest team Reidsville has faced in a long, long time.

Line features three 300 pounders and the fullback is 240.

Wonder what S. Columbus will try to do on offense?:(

Give them a heavy dose of the fullback and the wingback trap and buck sweep and that will open up the pass because the linebackers will move up to shut the run down.

Excellent strategy Strick, that's what I think would be most effective. I'm sure coaches have been burning up the film, lol

No secret to what SC will do. We are a run heavy team. Bad thing about that is Reidsville has given up a grand total of one rushing TD this year. That sounds like a big time legit D to me. We will see. SC is tough though.

Stallions will definitely need some long sustained scoring drives to keep the Rams offense off the field. Reidsville's defense forces a few quick 3 and out's,could be over before it starts. Hope South learned few things this year from the Fairmont and Whiteville passing attacks!!

Correction: No rushing TDs until last week ... then East Montgomery's Courtney McKinney (whose next game will be at Appalachian) broke free for two long ones.

actually Reidsville has given up 2 rushing TD.'s on the year...both last week to East Montgomery stud running back named McKinney that has committed to App. State...Rams have only given up 78 points all year (an avg. of 6 pts. per game) and have scored 694 points (an avg of 53.4 ppg)....Rams have only trailed twice this year.....3-0 to Northwest Guilford and came back to win 47-3.....and 8-7 to Carrboro and came back to win 67-8.......................

You can throw stats out the window for both teams doesn’t matter what you did in the past weeks all that matters is what you do this Friday night.

agreed...past means nothing...2 good teams going at it in the 3rd round...I travel by South Columbus and Tabor City all the time on the way to my condo at Cherry Grove...so I know the area pretty well.....as a matter of fact I will be heading there as soon as the game ends friday nite....usually I cut from 74 onto 410 thru Chadbourn to Tabor City...but a couple of week ago they were working on the streets and roads in Chadbourn area (badly needed)....Do you know whether that work has been completed................???

They have been completed. I hear so much about the great passing game The Rams have. I was told they play in weak conf. SC used to get off bus with swagger and kick ***. This team is good but missing something that the great SC defenses had.
They will hit you in mouth all night long, but Whiteville took them to wood shed, just telling the truth. 12-1 very good record but I just think Reidsville got to much passing game to cover this year. But that's why they play the game. I'm pulling for SC to kick A-- .
Mountain Heritage might be best team in 2A football right now can't stop them.

Mountain Hertiage is pretty good but they aren't the best team in 2a.

If you guys really mean that the past means nothing, then you should be willing to bet this game even.

rambbq, you want S Columbus even?:)

Mountain heritage people still talking? They did the same last year and game to Reidsville and got their *** whipped. Rinse and repeat in 2017.
