South Iredell has made their hire in Eric Rees who comes from West Craven DC

Didn’t hear his name thur the rumors and tbh kinda shocked n surprised with this hire

I never heard of him. I wish the best for the new coach Eric Rees and the Viking football team. Go Vikings!

West craven? They have never been good, how in the world does he get this job? Their defense has been way below average

South iredell had at least 3 inside guys they could of hired - 1 didn’t apply tho n other 2 got passed over and 1 that got past up has been at least 13 years n been the current DC in Radcliffe

I don’t get this hire for SI but as for Coach Rees I believe this is just a Bridge to get into a HC spot , Some believe SI will be open again in 2-3 years as Coach Rees isn’t bring anyone with him and he has 0 connections to the area but Only time will tell what will happen

I do fully support coach Rees and I hope he does well and we have see what he can do but personally I don’t think he was the #1 guy they wanted and personally I think they didn’t get this hire right

Again have no idea how this man gets a HC job. Will check in a few months see when South starts 0-4

It’s a troll comment and you know it. Saying they have never been any good is just asinine. The last year they were in 3A the won the conference and followed up by winning conference the first two years they were in 2A. COVID cost them a shot this season the 3 in a row.

Yeah so true for South. They will have an uphill battle for sure. The only thing I would say is work hard and do the best you can. Not sure how they will fare for this upcoming season or the future seasons as well. I’ll stand behind them. Can’t wait until the season starts. Should be some good games going on in this conference.
