Crest offense has to find some consistency. Soph QB has really struggled tonight. Mari Adams is a beast but he cannot carry the offense.

Good pass play for a td then they decide to dance and get a 15 yarder which will give the Raiders great field position....... CMON.......

I watched two minutes on stream and saw the 4th down stop and pick. Enjoy good action without me ruining it.

Shame on those who left before the final whistle.

SP missed a 54 yard field goal wide left as time expired that would have won the game. After the interception with 1:45 left Crest let us stay in the game with (2) bonehead decisions that stopped the clock; calling a TO and taking a delay of game. SP saved a timeout and forced a punt with 19 seconds left. Took the punt at the Crest 40 and returned it to the 37. Lined up for a 54 yarder with 7 seconds left.

The SP defense did not even remotely lose this game for them. The offensive play calling, or lack there of did. Aside from 3-4 plays wit blown coverage they held pretty solid all night. Don’t forget Crest had a pick 6 in there.

If SP had any sense of play calling they would be dangerous. They have a weapon in 35 outside this year that is similar to Nick Muse and they refuse to use him until it’s blatantly obvious aside from their first play from scrimmage.

Riley rushed for 233 yards with everyone in the stadium knowing he was getting it. Imagine if their was some doubt of where it was going.

Taking nothing away from Crest, they never gave up. But SP should have NEVER lost this game and it shouldn’t have even been close. Up (2) scores in the 4th and lose. Mind blowing.

Out coached at every level tonight.

SPRedRaider not arguing with you but how can you say the defense is not at least partially responsible for the loss? Crest ball on the their own two yard line and score a TD in less than two minutes off the clock. Offensively, play calling was not great but when all you’ve got is 35 on pass plays which as you said is not attempted near often enough and 31 up the middle what else can you do. 27 can’t get around the corner on sweeps. I don’t know 🤷‍♂️ Coach made several calls I wouldn’t have but this years team seems so limited in what it “can” do offensively.

Our staff has to be able to see what I do from the stands. If the defense is giving us a certain look, we have to recognize that and run our counter to that defense. Mickey was brilliant at that. Our staff are young grasshoppers with lots to learn.

Y'all got a tv showing the defense, the game...
My take on game, I was there, on SP side.
Crest had really no answer for SP rush attack. SP gave up to many big plays,
When u don't really practice stopping pass plays, your just not good at it.
Crest killed you guys on 2 many long pass plays giving up. Now Crest did get few big runs but defense was in position to make play but gave those runs up.
I felt after Sp held late and got ball back @27-26 coach tried going to the air to quick, should have run 31 there was over 2.00 left. Plus he's not great thrower and trying to throw bombs. Short screens would have been good...just needed to get where kicker would be in range..
Btw felt there was a few interference calls missed at end

I agree Stick. I’m just not sure SP has personal to do a lot more than what they’ve been doing. With big #65 on the right side and the wing back still can’t make the edge, it’s a speed issue. As SPRR said last night we need to throw the ball a little more especially with #35 being 3 to 9 inches taller than most defenders. The coaching staff does have a ways to go.

Congrats to both teams. Both left everything on the field. Was talking to a coach after the game and they were giving kudos to Crest coach Carlos Wray. Coach started showing South Point multiple fronts in the 2nd half. He was able to draw on his knowledge of his time at Duke playing Georgia Tech.

I know it"s a big comparison, but dang if Mari Adams isn't doing things like Tre Harbison. And he was playing on a banged up ankle last night. Hey college recruiters...kid has talent, heart, and is crushing it in the classroom.

Love South Point being back in the con. They are well coached, physical, and will make you uncomfortable on the football field. They force you to look at yourself and dig deep for that little extra something if you have plans on winning. Coach preached to the kids how physical they were all week at practice but sometimes you have to get punched in the mouth to believe it.

Lot to play out in the Big South and I believe could still end with a 4 way tie for 1st.

Last night was what makes Friday Night Lights such a beautiful thing.

That last sentence is my favorite...... not a chance I'd blame the officials for this loss, I'm just glad I'm not the only one who saw it that way.

Not to mention offensive holding on Crest on several pass plays. The most horrendous call of the night; SP going for it on 4 & 2 a whistle from the Crest side of the field is heard by the SP quarterback, he is sacked because he stops as you are suppose to do when the whistle blows. SP turns the ball over on downs, no replaying of the downs and no penalty on the home team for the whistle from the sideline.

I don’t believe bad calls by the officials were intentional. I’m not sure there is anything in the rule book that address the whistle issue, just bad luck for SP I guess

I had ex official sitting with us on SP side, he said that one int Crest got with less then 2 mins to play , should been penalty on Crest for interference, Crest db was over the back.
That cost SP they were driving in that series

South Point fans and a Shelby fan with an official he dragged off of Gidney Street complaining about refs.
😂

Why don’t one of you get a condom and the other rent the room and have that ref video the whole thing.

Everyone knows it’s 7 to nothing before you get off the bus’s at South Point. And Shelby has Refs on standby. Heck shelbyfan1 was sitting with one of them. 🤡’s
