the mileage, if not mistaken, is taken out of the gate.....would expect b/t 0-10 fans from SR to make the trip
We played them I think we counted 7 fans and it was a 25 minute trip. Most disorganized team I saw this year. Score should be like 60 something to 0there will be more than 10 people there if the parents of the players r worth a dam.
Rosman has to go at least as far to north duplin

I can't believe how easy they have it to state. The only teams in the west that could even have a shot would be Mitchell and Cherokee, even then it isn't much of a chance. If Murphy doesn't win state this year I would be surprised.I believe Murphy has a cakewalk to a SC in 1A.........
I've been hearing that Mountain Island Charter school (MICS) is very good. I looked into them and they do have some serious talent and speed. Got one guy (Aapri Washington CB/WR) with a long list of D1 offers and another one (Eric Gallman WR/DB) who is committed to Cornell. They get the ball in Washington's hands in many ways. He gets touches at QB and RB in addition to WR. They have a few other transfers from the surrounding Charlotte area. Tikwan "Smooth" Johnson WR/DB/ATH from West Meck and Terrell Hager RB/OLB/DB from Ashebrook, just to name a couple. Their QB Kyle Holcombe has passed for over 2800 yards this season. Defensively, MICS has 76 sacks and 22 INTs on the season. They average around 280 ypg passing and around 222 ypg rushing. MICS also has excellent kicking and return units. They haven't played the greatest competition, but they have run up some big scores and numbers and they are definitely talented and fast. So Murphy may not have such an easy time afterall.I can't believe how easy they have it to state. Not trying to hurt feelings but Mitchell is no match for Murphy lol, Mitchell struggled with cherokees offense and defense for 3 quarters of the game and if Cherokee didn't shoot themselves in the foot twice within the 10 yard line then that could have been a two score game. Cherokee even played that game with several key players and a banged up QB. Not saying they would have won, but if they couldn't do any better than they did against Cherokee then how do you expect them to match against Murphy who is much bigger faster and aggressive then Cherokee? Again not trying take anything away from Mitchell but being realistic, Murphy wins by 3 scoresI wouldn't consider playing Mitchell in the 4th (if both make it there) round a cakewalk to a championship. Mitchell is the defending big 1a western champ and is 10-1 this year again as they were last year, and I personally feel this year's team is slightly better especially on defense, maybe a step back on offense. Simmons ratings have them as the number 1 rated defense in all of 1a football, and that is while playing in a conference that only has one other 1a team. With that being said I feel like Murphy should be a slight favorite due to home field advantage, but it definitely should not be a cakewalk to get there, and as stated earlier maybe not even a cakewalk in the 3rd round against MIC.

Agreed. Mitchell is a far cry from a cakewalk! Murphy should consider themselves fortunate if they make it to the fourth round and are able to beat Mitchell. Even with home field it is anything but a sure thing. It's a toss up if you ask me.I wouldn't consider playing Mitchell in the 4th (if both make it there) round a cakewalk to a championship. Yeah I know scores can't be compared to scores, I'm glad you saw I wasn't trying to downtalk mitchell. I just believe Murphy is totally equipped to handle mitchell, especially if you look at how similar Cherokee/Mitchell are. Mitchell has a better passing game I believe but Cherokee has the better run game. With that being said unless Mitchell gets some good runs on Murphy then I can't see their pass game being effective.
