According to the Salisbury Post, Mike London on his preseason review of South said they had 90 players to come out this year.That’s a big jump of numbers from the last few years maybe the new head coach has got something going on there.

That is correct and a few new kids will be out this week with the start of school. 103 was the high number during the summer. There is enthusiasm and the kids are buying in. From my understanding it’s been a total change from summer weights/conditioning to accountability. Not saying it’ll be tons of wins but the new coach has established a great atmosphere.
I hope this is right because the other day at practice they only had about 70 that I could see. I'm pulling for my Raiders to once again return to their old winning ways.

I hope they keep coming out, but numbers were not low back when Yow was the coach either. I don't think participation is the issue, hiring assistant coaches that are teachers in the building is the main issue that's plagued that school for over a decade. I've heard we've made a big hire in the strength coach department too, hope it helps!
I believe if the New HC is given the tools n support for upper management and the community itself and supports the new coach then I can see SR possibly win some games but if that doesn’t happen I don’t see much success in the near future. With them being 3A I hope they can stay somewhat competitive in a strong conference
I will say I am happy that I was able to attend a SR game last yr and The field and Facilities are pretty nice for small school and I enjoyed it
