When did they start using the Rutgers logo?

I never understood why so many high schools and youth teams like to just use logos from colleges or pro teams. Why wouldn't you want something unique? My buddy I go to games with teaches at Colonia HS. They used to use Chattanooga's logo, but when the school was in the news a year or two ago about the area possibly being a cancer cluster, someone from Chattanooga saw it and made the school change their logo.

Big 10, not Rutgers made Rahway High School change their logo from the block R to a new R logo. Sucked for me since I use to coach there and still have contacts to get gear. No one ever knew my R shirts , sweatshirts etc were from Rahway.

It used to be because uniforms were cheaper using "stock" logos.
Anything custom costs more.

They‘ve always been but that‘s an exact copy of the RU trademarked logo. Can you do that if your color scheme is different?

that Knight head is not the Knight head on the new flyer. The new one is an exact replica of the RU one....just different colors.

Might just be an idiot on the football staff. I don’t see a logo like that on their website.

This has been discussed before. It is a matter of Trademark law. If you allow other organizations to use your trademarked properties and don't stop them from doing so you lose the trademark and anyone can then use them..
