All the games used to be at UNC. In 1998 we had to play our 2A championship on a Thursday night. It was ridiculous. They had a game Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon because UNC had a bball game Saturday night. My dad was livid that the NCHSAA would put all these teams, fans, and family on the road on a Thursday night needing to get back for school and work the next day. We got back into Shelby pretty late and had school at 8 the next morning. But winning the state championship made it pretty sweet!
