Also talked about JaMichael, so he must have signed.

good point.

but it does make me think:

programs can tamper without repercussions, pay kids off to play, basically free agency out there with less controls than pro basketball, etc. etc.

it's a lawless wild west out there now.

but God forbid a coach mention a kid who verbally-commited...that must not happen!!!!

how truly silly is this?

I get there’s no chance Recco is going to but he should’ve asked follow ups on Spencer and no MSG game/holiday tournament. Even if he did Steve would just talk around it.

Jerry has to toe the line since he works for Rutgers essentially. You know how it works...

Three things of note for me:

1. Jamichael Davis official
2. Barclays game in the works
3. No mention at all of Karl Hobbs (despite being diplomatic when mentioning Cam). Just "we finalized our staff and got better".

Barclays game?
Why does HC Pike hate the fanbase.
Doesn't he know only 7 Rutgers fans will be in attendance??
Why would he put fans in such a dangerous situation as attending a game in Brooklyn?

There will be PLENTY of Rutgers fans in Brooklyn. A couple thousand showed up at Barclays for games vs. Vandy and Virginia when we were horrible and EJ was our coach.

I thought he was just mentioned as another guy that was doing NBA workouts with Cliff and Caleb and that he has a decision to make (this was filmed 5/30)

Mention of Hyatt as a starter.

J-mike as a player.

Mention opportunities for the other guards stepping up, specifically Simpson.....and how talented Noah Fernandes is.

Big summers for Antonio Chol and Antoine Woolfolk.

Also how impressive Gavin Griffiths is ......going into his career to be as the highest rated RU recruit in recent memory.

My own thoughts beyond the podcast.

The addition of Smoke Williamson will pay dividends with our current commits.

Love the 2024 and 2025 focus on recruiting.

2023 recruiting isn't done yet, would expect another frosh to be added to the mix this summer.

What's best mass transit connection to Barclays from NJ? Could go to New York Penn or the Port Authority.

When I read some of the comments about Rutgers playing somewhere outside of the fans' comfort zone, it's depressing. All you hear is b*itching how you're not going and knock other Rutgers fans for supporting the team on these road trips. How much of a real fan are you?

You want to be taken serious like the blue bloods, then act the part. You act more like lower majors. If Rutgers were to play in Trenton for a year, most already said they want no part of it. REALLY SAD.

Ask any athlete when they look up into the stands and see a ton of Scarlet, it motivates them to play harder because there is a reason behind. It's called support. It seems the excuses some are giving sound more selfish than legit reasons.

Hopefully it'll be a weekday game. I can go into work that day (Financial District) and catch the subway right at Bowling Green.

Is there a ferry option from Pier 11?

Guessing possible PAC 12 game is at California, or neutral site California. They’re the only pac 12 team not involved in any MTE or tourney. Also, they’re not part of the move to big ten conf following season so possible home and home scenario.

BIG 12 it won’t be Kansas or WVU, they’ ve both released their schedules. There was a rumor of Oklahoma. Maybe that is back around

Murphy has been very supportive of Rutgers athletics. This fixation playing one game at the Barklay Center is ridiculous.
Just a matter of preference. I’d prefer the game in Newark over Brooklyn. Simple. I’d combine the game with an Ironbound restaurant outing.

That would be good. Good for the California alums too.
