Well one thing the BLM protests proved was that outside and masks prevent the spread, regardless of gathering and distance.
We can hope, that outside and no masks keep it low.
My concern would be the bars. But it's not like every participant goes in one.
Not good, but not what Mardis Gras did to Louisiana.

Let's wait and see after they leave how many of their towns people pay with their lives.

Not wearing mask isn't a new thing, we were going along just fine and the numbers kept decreasing until states decided to force people to wear mask. That is when the numbers turned around and headed the other way. I'm not sure what it is you are waiting for unless it's more deaths.

No one has shown me any clear evidence that wearing masks makes a lick of difference. If anything the cities that went on full lockdown and required them had the worst outbreaks. That’s not empirical evidence either I get that, but at least from the outside looking in it appears to me they make little, if any, difference. At least with regard to wearing them outside. Altho I’m not Convinced wearing them inside helps much either.

In the Florida county I live and own my businesses in, the local statute designates EITHER you wear a mask inside OR maintain social distance. Which is what the signs in our stores request. That makes more sense to me. Florida has been as good as possible thru this shite storm i have been able to
Keep my business open throughout and pay all my people regular wages. Not if I still lived in KY. I would be out of business.

I used it To be a registered independent and voted my conscience. Not anymore I’m newly registered rep and will vote down the line. If we had a Dem as Gov of Florida the state would be on lock like KY. And the 20 year business I built would be bust along with our 30 employees. Over what is not clearly scientifically proven.

Gotta love Kentucky’s mask mandate. I was down there last week to get my mil settled into the nursing home. Sure, they all wore masks, but had to pull them down any time they spoke.

As for Sturgis, adults in this country that aren’t breaking the law get to make their own decisions.

What county are you in?

Didn't pay much attention to Desantis before this but him not being a panic, fear-driving ******* has made it much more bearable down here and have become a fan.

DeSantis is a super star. Smart and cool under pressure. I am keeping an eye on him for a possible presidential run. He is young and has an excellent resume.

I am proud he is my governor and the way he has handled the China Virus. The entire national media is rooting against him which means he is doing the right thing.

It is great to see 250,00 living their life and enjoying a good time with like minded Americans. COVID-19 met it's match in those South Dakota hills.

250,000 solid Trump supporters. Beautiful
Thinning the herd. Making it a little easier for Biden in November.

Is it true that most people in public have been wearing masks but cases keep rising the last few weeks? I don’t keep up so I don’t know.

It would almost be like the masks people wear aren’t really effective at all, if I didn’t know better.

It's a presentation to make pussies feel better. Half the people wearing masks are fondling them non-stop or feel they offer so much protection they go right back to humping your leg in public.

Live in Charlotte; my businesses are in Charlotte & Lee County.

I agree on Desantis he took a giant **** sandwich from the media all thru this and had maintained what I believe to be a very fair and common sense approach. I’m a huge fan and will be for duration.

Nice post. Just curious, what’s the general nature of the businesses you have built?

We have 3–soon to be 4–commercial paint stores here in SW Florida. Mainly cater to contractors but also some retail business.
Best of luck to you in the future. I know your stores will be very successful. Florida is small business friendly and a great place to grow your company. You picked a nice area. (I am biased to the Gulf Coast)
