Worst call I’ve seen in a while. Machines is the new Brady. And not in a good way.

And people wonder why they say it’s rigged. That’s partially why.
Yeah, that was a weak call. Feels dirty. The game was gift wrapped after that. Really sad because it was good game then that call zapped the air out of it. You can hear the disappointment in the booth.

Didn’t care for how that game ended. I wasn’t pulling for either team but it was a good game until that last drive. Terrible holding call. At least a very light call on an uncatchable ball then KC not taking the Td. I get it as a coach but as a fan that sucks so bad after a game where teams trade blows. Anticlimactic

Only people that won is the system. Two touchy feely review calls go PH way & touchy holding call against PH. How can you care when it's not football? What a mess of a game.

Refs should NEVER decide a game. And while the Chiefs probably still win on a FG that was GARBAGE.

Glad I don't bet. Thought the Eagles would win by 7-10 points. Surprised Andy Reid has called such a superb game. He has a tendency to get pass happy but he's made a lot of great calls tonight.
i figured the same. of course if not for the turnovers that probably would’ve been the outcome. eagles defense couldn’t get a stop the second half so yeah that was good play calling.

Yeah, the Chiefs were already in FG range. But, the Eagles would’ve had a few minutes left in the game plus two timeouts. Let the players decide the outcome. Sad. Btw, that call can arguably be called on every down. Weak.

Wrong. Little over a minute with 1 timeout

The holding? That was 100% legit and should have been called. They already got away with the second fumble for a TD call.
I agree. Lots of Super Bowls they let that go but ref had to call it. He had no idea the ball would be way overthrown. Held before pass was thrown.

It would have been an incomplete pass on 3rd down. Eagles would have had the ball with 1:50 left and 2 time outs.
You’re wrong. They took a timeout on the previous play. Only had 2 as they took one earlier to avoid a delay of game

Didn't watch a second of the game. Congrats to 2 UK Wildcats who will get rings from tonight's victory.

Eagles should've been able to handle KC, but didn't. It seemed all week this was being set up for the Chiefs to win it, just like last week of the AFC playoffs. No way I would've bet on the Eagles because of that.

Glad we don't have to hear about it anymore. Too many fixes in this past season to call it football.

Terrible call. Really not questionable unless you are pulling for KC. That particular call looked bad live and worse on replay.
He grabbed the guy's jersey. Clear holding. I know people say that you can't make that call in that position of the game, but if that is defensive holding on the first play of the game, it is defensive holding on the last play of the game. Full disclosure, I bet on the Eagles and wish that the holding hadn't happened.

Beginning to think every sport is rigged on some level. It’s absolute bull.

There in lies the problem. It’s not always called. So why call it there with very minimal contact. I’ll tell you why because replay showed Mahomes whining about it. It’s like calling the hand heck in basketball on the last second shot. Pathetic really. Let’s say that was UGA vs UK for the title. And they called that on UK. Would some of you be screaming bloody murder? Yep. And I’d be right there with you.

What’s amazing is some will defend throwing the flag here. But agree that you can’t call a foul on the UT guy in Auburns last second shot.

Agreed.

Let’s put this microscope on all the eagle plays in fourth quarter. I can find a.man iffy defense holding I am sure…..it’s just a garbage way to end Super Bowl

Andy Ried's half time adjustments won that game. He got a receiver wide open twice for a walk-in touchdown, and the defensive adjustments slowed the Eagles offense just enough.

To be clear the Eagles defender himself said he held. All the experts in this thread aside, I'll take his take over any of ours.

He literally grabbed his jersey. How is that a bad call?
I’ve seen more NOT called. That literally happens on almost every play. I’ve got no bacon or dog in this fight. That’s a horrible time to throw a flag. It was also late and Mahomes whined about it.

Weak call.

I don’t think anyone says he didn’t. I think people are saying that crap happens allllll game and that’s when they decide to flag it.

Get your head out of your butt if you think it's OK just because it was late in the game. That's a stupid way to think. So do you want no calls after the 2:00 warning??? Just ignorant.

For those that might be too dense to understand why I asked the question-

Consistency is the enemy of bias. Bias is not a level playing field. If it wasn't a penalty when KC did it, it's not a penalty when Philly did it. If they didn't call it all game, but call it in the last 2 minutes and only called it against one team, that's bias.

The referees are supposed to be part of the field, not impediments or obstacles to it. If an official jumped up and swatted a ball down on a given play, then simpletons would realize the role that bias shouldn't play in sports officiating. It's no different if they eat their whistle all game and then decide to call it in a pivotal moment.

The truth is that it's not illegal for the leagues to rig outcomes. We talked about this at lunch also. They are technically "entertainment" businesses and not actually "sports" which makes a big difference in how they can operate. I don't expect them to be fairly officiated and haven't for some time. I will call it out, however, because a LOT OF PEOPLE don't realize how things have changed.
