They would drop a lot in the rankings, we wouldn't break the 25 with the win. But god I would love watching the **** show in Alabama after that happened!

I think the show here would be better, lol.

I'd say a lot of our basketball fans will be on suicide watch. Of course I'll be happy to assist that special segment of our "fan"base with the follow-through if need be.

Actually I KNOW several fans like that on this site , Alabama Scout site and Facebook. Think Tennessee in the 1990s.

Earth.

Only the idiotic "football only" fans come up with stuff this ridiculous. You all have some sort of complex that probably requires professional help.

<<< Will be pulling for the CATS against BAMA this weekend but being realistic I don't have any high hopes that UK can pull it off. BUT, IF the CATS can pull off the unthinkable, then I'm going to buy some ocean front property in Tennessee because that means a BIG BLUE Tsunami wiped out the state of Alabama.

Anyways, GO CATS!

I'm glad you like my avatar.

I've been posting on here since 2001, and I can recall maybe 1 basketball only fan, if that. What I do see more prominent, are the "football only" fans that think there are "basketball only" fans out to get the program. It's comical.

If you've been posting for 15 years, and only recall 1 bb only fan-I think you've got a message board mixed up with an induced coma.

And your avatar is terrible

What an out of line post that is dredged up from the sewers.
I guess your the type of fan of Kentucky that wants to see other programs fail and take glee in it.
Horrible take and horrible poster

I know a great deal of Kentucky basketball fans that are bigger fans of Alabama football than Kentucky football. I would venture to say even the majority of fans I know fit this mode.

Thats awful rich..... Im down in tn and know a ton of fans of other programs Bama, Ole Miss, Auburn, UT etc and they pull for UK in basketball and UT in womens basketball.

What you are describing is called being a fairweather fan. They just want to root for a winner. If UK basketball was terrible you would have UK football fans rooting for other teams in basketball.

Their are far more fans who root for UK in football and basketball than any other regions i have been to that will have fans rooting for different programs.

Hypothetical if we were Clicking on all cylinders and Bama came out sluggish, didn't care, had the "we know we are going to win" attitude, made like 3-4 turnovers, was going through motions. My guess woukd be we might put up 13-17 in first half due to some of our olsy makers but I think they would have 24-30 going in locker room. I garuntee Saban would be elbow deep up inside thise rectums shuving some guts up in their Lungs and come out put 28 points up in 3rd quarter before you know it its like 45- 13 going into 4th.

Good Lord...how did you get THAT out my post? I don't want any uk programs to fail--although I want to see a segment of our fan base hit the bricks.

Maybe the number of "fans' I'm talking about aren't as many as I believe other than the few dozen I've met ( just a sample nothing more) but good Lord..chill out people. I just pointing out a small fraction of our fan base that likely wouldn't post here anyway

Leon, I don't understand why any UK fan would be a bigger fan of Alabama football then UK football. That is not a UK fan! I don't think the majority of fans fit this mode. I have No idea where you got the info to think that
You must not know many UK fans.

Lol!!! There's being optimistic and then there's being off in la-la land. You sir are off in la-la land.

Honestly, even if 'Bama played terribly, they'd still beat us by 3 touchdowns. The odds of us going into Tuscaloosa, and not only playing above ourselves and becoming a completely different team, but for Alabama's offense and defense to completely collapse are astronomical. Like, I think you'd have a better chance of winning the powerball than to see that happen tomorrow night!

I'll be watching the game to cheer us on and hope we can score on their defense. If we can score a touchdown on their 1st string D, then that is a moral victory in my book and definitely shows that the team has improved since the Florida game. I just hope we dont go in there and lose 48-0. Nothing good can come of a loss like that.

I'd say you're talking about an incredibly small minority. Most of us love and support the basketball and football programs. Not sure why you'd even bring that small minority up, to be honest.

I was going to reply to his remark as well in a similar fashion as several have done. I am a huge UK basketball fan, love the team, coach and sport. Always have. But, I also love and support our football program despite the very limited success we have ever had in it. I have season tickets for basketball at Rupp but have had season tickets for football just as long. As I said, I love me some UK basketball but I would never ever cheer against the Cats in football. I have many friends who have season tickets in both sports and some of them ARE bigger basketball fans than football (just a few of them) but they all want our football team to win every game and cheer loudly for them. I have never been around a UK fan who cheers against our football team. Catgotmytongue must hang around some strange UK fans because that is absolutely not my experience at all. I'm sure there are some in Kentucky who cheer for Bama to win a title. Hell, I cheer for Bama to do that myself but I will be pulling for the Cats to pull off the unbelievable shocker tomorrow night in Tuscaloosa.

Just because I know a few fans like that doesn't mean I like them. Quite the contrary.
Why bring them up? Because they exist and I like to see them squirm.

I live in this state. Now are these people bigger fans of Bama than Kentucky. Probably not deep down inside. But several of the fans I know would rather watch Bama than Kentucky.
We have all heard the comments and we have more than likely said a comment supporting Bama, especially when they are in the playoffs. Call it an SEC thing, a friend of friend event or so on. But we do take pride when Bama does well.

Would anyone really care if there kind committed suicide. The sooner the better. Basketball only fans or the bandwagon fans that pull for UK basketball & Bama football are trash.

So do you believe they exist? Apparently conventional thinking on this thread is they don't . I agree with you--screw that type of fan. Hell one of our posters dated a chick who was all Ashley Juggs over the men's bball team..but in the fall cheered on UT when pounding is in the ground. Totally effed up.
