Surely Stephen A is joking right?

NFL teams dont have the phone numbers for players that entered the draft?
That seems like an NFL mistake and an easy fix.

When someone registers fort he draft, make them list a 17ing phone number. Every online retailer requires a phone number when you buy stuff...this isn't a difficult process.
They have his number. They just don’t really wanna talk to him bc they are all racist and only want certain black people. Not to sanders type or black person. **

Spoon fed rage bait. It's what's for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Crazy that the elite talent Kap possesses that no team picks him up. Not even the Canadian League. Always someone else's fault. That's the way to raise an entire generation of losers.

I was about to make this same point. Hard to believe Gabriel and Milroe were both drafted yesterday while these 2 sit
Ewars I believe. He was pretty bad last fall. Makes me wonder if young Manning isn’t way overrated too if he couldn’t beat Ewars out. But I think Howard is a good QB. Someone is going to get a bargain with him.

The NFL is still a business and you're auditioning for a job. You can't 17 around like they obviously did when you want to impress to get you a top job.

Going to the combine and performing for future employers would have been a good idea also. I saw a report saying he skipped the combine. Why ??

I wonder if Stephen A would have had the same conclusion kf Shadeur was white.

After all, Tebow was colluded against, right?****

Just to be clear there is no collusion from anyone on any player. The NFL wants to win at all costs. If a player will help them do that, they'll take the player, no matter the baggage. Even if he beats women.
Tebow went in the first round.

That being said, I don’t think there’s anything racial about the Shadeur Sanders bit. I think it comes down to dealing with Deion.

The NFL did collude to kick Kap out of the league. They also made kneeling against the rules.

That’s fine. They’re perfectly free, and maybe smart, to do those things. And those actions lead to a lot of really important community funding from the league.

Don’t pretend he doesn’t believe some of the BS he talks about.
I don't think radio and tv sports figures believe much of what they say. They figured out long ago that hot takes and yelling gets ratings. It's why I don't listen to much national radio or watch the espn shows. You rarely learn anything from it other than how to elevate your blood pressure from being exposed to stupidity. Same with the cable tv news opinion desks.

Kap is free not to kneel. Everyone is free not to kneel. But he and Sanders have the fact that they are both not that good in common

Kap had already been benched and was on his way out the door before he started kneeling. Then, while he was in an interview with a potential new team, his woman went on social media to bad mouth the man interviewing him. Shockingly, he didn’t get hired. Yeah, that’s collusion**

I personally would not know what Stephen A says if it wasn't for the message board or his competition. I don't watch him or follow him. I never watch ESPN shows. Dan Patrick doesn't really talk about him. I do that because I don't care what he thinks about anything.

So if all you people would stop getting irritated at what he says and talking about or posting it, I would appreciate it.

I’m not triggered bluey. I’m laughing at him.

but that could be a reason why ESPN is having financial problems!

Only reason I know he tweeted it was because someone sent it in a group text!!
And then you raced here to poke fun at the author which is a solid plan given that Stephen A Smith is such an avid sixpack reader. Speaking of “avid reader”. Is that his screen name? Because its been a while since we’ve heard from him.

There are three things certain in life: death, taxes and paindonthurt and mstateglfr going all in on a thread about race.

Sanders, Kap, and Tebow have one very important thing in common…. If the NFL doesn’t view you as a starting QB, they don’t want a backup that is going to be getting all the attention.

That said, Sanders gets his chance now. We will see if he can eat some humble pie and prove the people who doubted him wrong. But he did get drafted into a very crowded QB room.

It’s amazing to me that it must be collusion if everyone with a ton of experience interviewing and evaluating players comes to the same negative conclusion. Is it collusion when they all agree someone is good enough?

He is correct that this is similar to Kaepernick in one way though. They both fail the football equivalent to the crazy / hot graph. Neither are good enough to put up with their potential problems in the locker room and off the field.
I think this is more likely. If an NFL team thought cost/benefit ratio was correct he would have been drafted earlier. Apparently it’s a bad idea to, allegedly, tell prospective employers your list wills/wonts in an interview. His dad set him up to fail. He should have said “Son, I’m going to hype you as much as I can but when you get with NFL execs you talk about hard work, teamwork and being willing to learn whatever you need to learn to succeed.”

it seems like he walked in with an inflated opinion about his ability to dictate terms to billionaires …

Nope, I'm good. I've seen enough narcissistic ego flaunting from that krewe to last me all of my days. I was already sick of Deion when he graduated from FSU

I am aware Tebow went in the first round. He also won a playoff game, then couldn't sign a contract extension. I was using him as an example that saying a team colluding against a player is ridiculous. He just wasn't good enough. If he had been, he'd have been signed.

Yes, I heard people say Tebow was colluded against in the NFL. I've heard the same thing about Kaepernick. Now Sanders. It's ridiculous. Noone is colluding to keep a player who can help you win out of the league. It's the same reason the NFL doesn't sign me. We just all aren't good enough.
