Well, someone tell me what to expect from the Stang's this year? Swain handled CC Day with strong Defence and control of the LOS. Got a solid team that will run the spread, Veer and I sets. I'm a homer so I'll take Swain by 6.

There was also someone earlier this year that said they are winning conference. Cannot remember the screen name. Good luck to you guys at Swain.

I believe Smoky will be a heavy run team compare to last year team with their QB transferring to Tuscola. I see smoky putting number 5 in the backfield and using him a lot and the Mcneely kid. Their QB also is a weapon with running the ball but isn't accurate in passing. Smoky did used two QB at Cherokee last week by the stats sheet.

Swain needs to control the LOS and don't kick it to number 5 again as he dangerous in open field. Swain by 20+

I’d love for Smoky to win it. I have a brother that plays for Smoky. Smoky is stuck in mediocrity and looks to stay that way for the foreseeable future. They are more worried about cutting kids lunchtimes than having a decent football team.

Its funny too because Smoky will be on that sideline watching that 60in. screen, drawing on it/watching replays only to go out there and do the exact same thing again. Might as well put cartoons on it at this point, something definitely has got to give...

Didn't that "mediocre" Smoky team beat Swain last year? Seems like the pot calling the kettle black there. Not saying they aren't mediocre, they probably are. But it wasn't too long ago that they were bottom of the barrel, so seems like the trajectory is moving in the right direction.

Smoky Mountain hasn’t been good in 10+ years.

If we want to look at who has owned the series between these 2 for the past 10 years, MaxPreps proves to be very useful. Smoky has had a couple of 8 win seasons; their best being the Covid year I believe. Still by looking at the schedule they’ve had, they’ve not had a “great” win even in those 8 win seasons. Smoky, Tuscola, Pisgah all have fell to the wayside a bit in the last couple years. Tuscola had a pretty good year last year but despite their record, they weren’t really impressive.

4-4 over the past 8 years isn’t exactly owning someone. Pisgah is the standard for sure. Smoky losing the QB hurt tremendously, as it would anyone, and Swain should handle them this year.

They definitely did, in heartbreaking fashion though Swain shouldn't of been in that situation to begin with. I mean no ill will with what I said, I simply wish success for Smoky and that means something has to change up there imo.
