Hard to post with poor reception out here in Snow Hill, but basically, it's the 3rd quarter with GC up 30-0. The last two games, SWE's qb fumbled away the opening snap of the game, so this game we tried something different. Instead of fumbling away the opening snap, we just let them return the opening kick off for a touchdown instead. And then our next possession gifted them a 70 yard pick 6. We are basic and inefficient on offense. Our defense is good enough to help win games but can't do much if they are on the field all of the time, and once we get behind, it's a wrap for team motivation. It is amazing how an offensive coordinator can bring his playbook from a team he just won and lost two consecutive state championships with, and orchestrate a team that cannot score. But the focus seems to be on making sure the boys are model citizens off the field, and that they are.......so hey.

I don't know, man. Their best win is against Kinston, giving them their only loss. But the rest of their schedule has been a cake walk. That includes us. And I don't know how good Kinston is because their schedule is a cake walk too.
Greene Central is in good position to win the conference. That will be decided among them, Farmville Central and West Craven. It's not a strong conference overall but getting to play in the playoffs is always nice. Washington is struggling this year. I don't know anything about Greene Central other than they are off to a great start. I'm happy for them and will be looking forward to our game when we travel there. We played a lot better this week in beating Washington. Our QB looked real good is what I was told. So I'm not concerning to Greene Central or Farmville. Should be fun seeing it play out but for sure Greene Central is good this year.

No everything I hear is that they are for real. We will see. I'm not conceding to them. We have talent on our team. But we don't have the depth we really need. Shouldn't be a huge issue in our conference like it was in our non conference schedule. But it will be an issue come playoff time if we can make it. I think the conference is theirs for the taking, even if I do doubt how good they are. The conference is simply stinking it up this year. But GC has the luxury of swagger with being undefeated, and we know that attitude can give you extra umphh. So hell, GC, why not go undefeated? Get a top seed and a poor first round opponent. I just don't see them as a threat after that due to the ease of the schedule.
I think they'll possibly get to the third round. Highly doubt they'll have anything for Wallace Rose Hill or Clinton. I feel like hertford could beat them to tbh
Oh Hertford would blast GC. Between what I've seen from HC on NHSF and what I saw from GC when we played them, it wouldn't be close. I can't see them keeping up. That qb from HC is a major problem for defenses, whereas GC's offense only scored 18 points on us. Respect to GC for doing what they're supposed to do, but there's no way that they are in the same class as WRH, Clinton, Hertford, Northeastern, Princeton, and East Duplin.
What's scary about hertford is that QB only a junior. And I believe they are returning a lot of this team next season. So they are going to be a tough out the next two seasons as well. GC has a good year though, even if they don't make it far in the playoffs I would still call it a good season.
For sure. I'd take it right now, that's for sure. And having only 1 or 2 losses at the end is just gonna bring more athletes out for them next year. My wife graduated from GC, so I'm interested in seeing how things go for them.
What has changed? I don't know anything at all about them. I wonder if they had any coaching changes or if the talent level has improved that much. They have certainly made a big turn around.
I just looked at the schedules and honestly I'm not impressed with anything Greene Central has done. We just have to take care of business each week. Let it play out.
That's what I keep saying. Their schedule is gonna make them a very vulnerable high seed. Their non conference schedule was a joke and it didn't get any harder in the conference portion. I do think that the swag of being undefeated will give them the momentum to stay that way, but if anybody beats them, it'd be your Eagles.

I wouldnt be surprised to see West Craven beat them. Huge difference in who WC has played compared to GC.

We agree that the record is nice, but no one needs to start comparing them to the other top teams in the east. No one should be ready to say that the belong with Hertford, NE, Clinton, Wallace, SP, or ED etc
In my opinion people are still sleeping on Hertford county.
The Hertford/NE game this week will tell a lot about both. NE may not be undefeated this season or have standout players, but they have been top dog in that league for a while. Hertford beats them, they will probably run the table and finish the regular season undefeated.
