What sucks about it? Reading this thread makes me think I'm missing out on something awesome from another provider. I don't find Hulu any harder to use than Netflix, Prime or Youtube. I've never used YTTV.
Hulu tries to push too much at you at once. Always trying to show you something to watch in hopes you might add on or subscribe to something else. If I want to watch live tv I don't need to see options for the latest series on Hulu, Disney or NatGeo... or an icon I can click to add on HBO.

But for me.. the killer feature of YTTV is being able to rearrange your channels to have whatever you watch most at the top. And you can do it for different family members' profiles. For example our standard profile in the house is all the ESPN's and SEC Network at the top, HGTV next and then local networks.

Yes... I know you can create "favorite" lists in Hulu and only see those. But it's not the same. Google has it figured out.

I pay around $178/month. I know it's way more than cord-cutters, but I'm willing to pay the premium for the stability and ease of use.
It just got to where it wasn’t worth it. I have had youtubetv for quite awhile now after uverse kept jacking up my bill and love it. Never have internet issues and when these companies start removing channels I can just turn it off and go to another one until they figure it out.

I would go to streaming if I had an unlimited data option that wasn't sky high. That's how Comcast keeps me hooked. They are the only non-OTA option in my hood. To add unlimited streaming, it's an additional $40/month and at that price, there is no cost savings in cord cutting.

Yeah when we canceled uverse tv for whatever reason they decided to give us a lifetime u limited internet rate of $50 per month. Not sure why they did but we jumped on it

Gotcha. Honestly, I hate that both my TVs power on into an advertisement screen or whatever streaming services. they are pimping.

Due to age and short term memory loss I do not remember the specifics. I just remember I cancelled Fubo and started Hulu. Within hours I was so frustrated with it I switched back.

This has been most informative for me. I was just about to change from Uverse to Hulu Live, but hatfield has really got my attention. Hatfield, just what exactly did you say to Uverse people to get that special offer? Last year, I complained and they gave me $20 off my phone and tv bill for a year. The year is up and I am going to have to do something. Maybe I should not go to HULU live after all.

Listen guys, If I can't get a better deal with Uverse, then I can try Hulu live, which right now is much, much cheaper. If the interface is as bad as some of you say it is, then, I can switch and try something like Utube, Fubo, or Sling perhaps. Whats wrong with that?

I had Hulu Live once for not more than a couple months but I didn't see anything wrong with it. It was a free trial and I let it go at the end but it worked fine for me

If the government can open, YTTV can get ESPN
I "filed" for my $20 today (they actually made it simple) but hoping for a resolution soon. Using monthly ESPN Ultimate as a bridge for now but mumble obscenities every time I use it.

Throw 10 bucks on my current YTTV bill and let's roll guys. Enough already.

The worst ting about Hulu live is the channels are in alphabetical order instead of by category. You have to surf through about 80 channels when switching between SEC Network and ESPN. On YTTV, you can rearrange the channels into groups. I had sports only on favorites, but my wife added a bunch of crap so she could watch British baking shows, Hallmark, and murder documentaries.

I don't remember that at all from the brief couple months I had it, you may be missing something to arrange them like you want it? Good Luck hope it works out.

I have a profile for me. I swap channels by going to recent. Only 5-6 channels to look at.

You know how back in the day of classic cable you'd turn on your TV, and be greeted with the grid channel guide with the currently-playing channel minimized up in the corner? YTTV mimics that interface and, as someone else pointed out, you can even go into your account and delete the channels off the grid you don't want, and put them in whatever order you want.

Before I switched I'd narrowed it down to YTTV and Hulu Live, and the interface was the deciding factor for me. My brother has Hulu Live at his place, and I struggled to figure out how to just turn on live TV. YTTV makes it easier to do that by replicating an old cable box interface, IMHO.

Exactly. Cost is a minor thing. I want something I like that has the channels I want to use, is reliable, has a great DVR function and is easy to use.
