Speaking of old adages, I believe it might be wise to follow the adage that says: when the wives are happy, everybody's happy. Bring the canopy and we'll station it to one end of the tailgate leaving plenty of "outside" space for the woodsmen among us.

You nailed it. I taught at UF and at various times attended tailgates of my students. One guy used to trailer in a jacuzzi big enough for about 10 people>>>also if you showed up in a motorhome as I did, you could stay 2 days BEFORE and 2 days AFTER the game free in the overflow lots......
Well @MrsScrew (and associates) were named tailgate of the the game or something yesterday. There was a picture of many of us at the tailgate on the scoreboard during the game. Ironically MrsScrew was at the Scarlet Walk and missed the picture and her shot at being famous. LOL.

I thought Sweet Lou won...why isn't your tailgated called Sweet Screw? I walked by this place as we made our way from purple before going into the game. Loved the lights, did you guys have a dance floor, it looked like it. where were the curtains?
I laughed that you were at the Scarlet Walk when they took the photo. My crew won the first game and of course I was at the Scarlet Walk when they took the photo. Congrats!

I sent an email to Geoff Brown who said "it is a mistake to send the tailgate crew out during the Scarlet Walk, it won't happen again". He's also going to get me photoshopped into the photo.
ah, reading comprehension is still not as high as it could be here on this board. there are NO valances. As @RU4Real said earlier, valances would be dumb. there are curtains, a la' The Grove.

you do realize I'm MRS Screw, right? and everyone thinks the curtains add a cohesive touch and a bit of class to the 75 feet of tailgate. we get tons of compliments on them.
Looks like the RU tailgate game is definitely stepping up.
