Now that they have lost a few state title games the sensible move may be to look at playing a tougher matchup for this game than they have in the past. Nash County, Pitt County, Clinton, WRH. Very strong 2A school (state title contender) or very good 3A (regional semi finalists) or slightly above average 4A (6-4, 7-3 team).

Mostly where teams schedules are already full and are still in contracts. We’ve had schools that did have openings choose to play someone else which is fine

Who was lost off of the 2023 schedule?

South Creek and Riverside merged into Martin county in June 2023, left us with only 9 regular season games. Trying to pick up a regular season non conference game for week 5 or week 6 because we are filled in other weeks

I would love for Clinton to trade Lumberton or Northside for Tarboro instead. The fact these two have such a rich history and never played bothers me. We need to work on changing that in the near future.
