This world needs prayers and lots of them. Can't even go to a high school football game without some coward shooting at somebody. Got to do better.

I hope the person survives. There was a lot of blood visible on their shirt.
The thing is though if they elect to finish I figure they will do it without fans in attendance. It would be terrible but wouldn't surprise me
I’d be suprised if Southwest gets to have fans the rest of the year.
WRAL reported both coaches agreed to call it. It's my understanding it was a THS student that was shot. Prayers to them for a quick and full recovery
I saw the word that is was a Tarboro student, but I’m almost positive now that it wasn’t
10th grader from what I'm hearing. An argument broke out at the concession stand. The 10th grade, IF TRUE, slapped somebody and then some one else shot him in the back just over the hip. Hopefully just a flesh wound. Then the shooter ran out the stadium using the baseball field
And apparently there was an altercation in the parking lot between fans and Tarboro players. Tarboro players came off the bus and got into something, whether actually fighting or just pushing or talking **** I haven't heard, but some extra bs apparently went down too.
Well I was told there was some Southwest players that walked to the Tarboro bus and said some words? Seems like there is alot of misinformation out there and alot of different stories
Yes, heard swe players and an adult came to the Tarboro bus. I’m sure we will hear all kinds of things
No Tarboro players were fighting. Words were said that's it. They were trying to prevent a fight. Ugly night for everyone.

Yes, but there were a few issues. The biggest issue at swe in my opinion is that there is a way to the field without having to go through the metal detectors
I was there. The altercation started when a couple of players from SWE ran up to the bus to try and fight. SWE coaches already know what players it was also. Also, it wasn’t in the parking lot. It was inside where Tarboro usually parks.
The dude that was shot isn’t a 10th grader either lol. Another person was also grazed also. He was shot in the right shoulder. Went completely through hitting someone else
I was told someone else was hit as well. Glad to hear it wasn't a THS student. And it is really easy to sneak into a game at SWE. I've seen it lots of times. Whether it was to come around baseball field and come out behind the visitors stands, or just scale the fence behind the scoreboard. I did see where the sheriff's dept. is asking anyone with any video or can identify who did the shooting to come forward and help. It's sucks. Terrible night all around. It's reasons like this SWE and Rocky Mount dissolved the series. Not the players or schools, the "grown" people in the stands and the parking lot. The last time I remember going to a RM SWE game in RM, you could feel the tension, and cops were everywhere. One lessoned learned for sure, Clee and the rest of the sheriff's department will need to send more officers to run security at home games.
Y'all really think that players ran up on other players trying to actually fight, meaning that they wouldn't be able to play in that game? Lol. You know good and well that anything going on before the game is nothing more than rivals being rivals. Off the field, these guys are friends and family, and pull for one another.

I must be blind then, cause I park right in front of the gate, in view of where the visiting teams park, inside the fence. I got to my car and sat there, trying to observe what was going on.
It was said that it happened inside the fence when Tarboro was trying to leave. So did the SWE players go back in, as well as the WITN crew, after everyone was told to leave the stadium? Or did they never leave?

The status and condition of the victims in the shooting have been well documented by authorities. One thing that hasn’t been mentioned is the status of the SWE player that was carried off the field during the 3rd period. He was being loaded on the ambulance at the exact moment the shots were fired. I was sitting on the home side and noticed the young man was on his back motionless for nearly 10 minutes. It looked really serious to me and I was praying for him as they were trying to get the ambulance to him. Has there been any update on how he’s doing?
