Game will not be high scoring.... total disrespect to both teams defense. Tarboro has the best defense in I think Tarboro history and I feel we are simply better than Wallace Rose Hill.

Tarboro-20
WRH- 14

Better than the defense with Gurley at one end and Tyquan Lewis at the other and the short, stud middle linebacker? No chance. That team would not have come close to losing 3 games. I'm sure Tarboro is playing well but this year's team and defense isn't in the same sentence. It will be a close game. I'd say WRH by 3 at home.

WRH is a powerhouse because they have a weak schedule. They played two weak conference teams in the first 2 rounds and a weak Lakewood team that didn't deserve a #1 seed. The only way WRH win is if they get the same refs that called the EC game. We gonna send the dog fans home early

TV, brother you're getting ready to find out what duplin county football is all about. You've obviously never been to the dog pound before. I hope you have a safe drive home tonight. It's gonna be a long one.

I will put it like this, if you leave Duplin County with a win anytime you can say we earned it. i didnt feel like that when we left Tarboro. Win or lose my Dogs will give you a fight for all 4 quarters. it will be a good game tonight i hope on both sides but im sticking with the orange and black 35-14 and bring on Chapel Hill for a chance to 3 peat.

Just checking in to say good luck to Tarboro tonight from Reidsville!

P.S. Those SWE fans aren't worth anything, I remember they flooded the field before our game in 2009 to slow us down

I'm not upset. (One of those games we beat Tarboro everywhere but the scoreboard) we have bigger fish to fry tonight... and I'm not about to sit here and defend Wallace... lord knows my feelings will not be hurt if Tarboro wins... but to disrespect them is dumb. What they've accomplished speaks for itself and running them down just doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Simmons taking the Dogs by 10 and East Duplin by 2. Should be a good night in Duplin County

But he was only 81% right last week so his crystal ball may be a little foggy when the competition gets tougher. Looking forward to my first visit to the dog pound.

When the time for action has come, the time for preparation has ended.

Good luck everyone. Go Vikings!

Don't get me wrong, I expect Tarboro to win every time they take the field - but it is unrealistic to expect a program to go to a State Title every year. Especially in a small-town like Tarboro.

Tarboro was dealing with a downgrade of overall talent in 2013 and 2014. And we were dealing with youth last year. I'm looking forward to Friday night.

Tarboro, a small town? I can't think of a 1-A school coming from a town as large as Tarboro in the entire state. Being from a school where most of the players live within walking distance of the school is a bigger advantage than most people think. Just go look at all the classifications & you will see the pattern.

What a game!!!!! Kept us on out toes in the first have. The 1st drive of the second half gave the dogs some confidence in reference to driving the ball. The Tarboro defense was really tough. The WRH backs started to stay north/south in the holes and took a toll on the Tarboro defense as they tired and had a let down on the drive that the bulldogs scored. The bulldog D took over and finished the job. Tarboro hit two big passes on them, but that's not what they wanted to do. The penalties slowed the dogs down a little, but that's because
Tarboro forced some pressure situations. The second half of this game was a result of the 2nd half of the clinton game where the Bulldogs learned to fight to the bitter end. As the Plummer says, pressure will bust a pipe. I am making reference to the young players on the Tarboro team and lack of recent experience in the eastern finals.

I would not want a rematch next week. LOL

Great Job!!! Both teams

Bulldog Defense laid the wood in the 2nd half. Only gave up 9 yards of offense in 2nd half.

Impressive 2nd half by WRH. Proud of Tarboro's defensive stands but WRH defense forced errors and capitalized all night. The future is bright for both teams. Enjoyed visiting the dog pound - well, I enjoyed the first half anyway. I think the advantage the bulldogs enjoys has to do with their defensive skill and intensity. They are not the most explosive offensive team but they are skilled at what they do - especially in the hurry up offense. Good luck on your drive for a 3-peat in Chapel Hill.

I was impressed by the sportsmanship on both teams part last night. I witnessed several times both teams helping the other team up after a tackle and Tarboro players congratulating WRH players after a good play was made and vise versa. Tarboros flag guy even came over after game and told us congratulations and good luck. very comendable. you just don't see much of that anymore
