Probably because the offense scored 3 points through the first 59 minutes of the game and they wouldn't have been close if not for the defense.

The team scored less than 20 in 4 of his 5 starts. Their scoring offense in just his starts would be 24th in the league. The defense is doing something right, it's nice to have a chance to win when your defense only gives up 13, gets a pick 6 and the offense only has to score 10 points

believing in him. He is a leader and people respond to that! It is great that Tebow keeps his head up and doesn't listen or let all the B.S. affect him. Wow!

Tebow has become the leader of the team and they rally around him- he has totally changed their season

I bet you won't even be able to tell that Denver won by listening to ESPN radio tomorrow. Tebow was 9-20 for 104 yards. They will bash him. I was glad to hear Keyshaun and Deion giving Tebow big props tho on the postgame.

since if your team loses to the worst QB of the last quarter century, you should be kicked out of the league.
I hope they absolutely grill Sanchez and Rex's overrated asses.

When it takes you til well into the 4th qtr to break 200 yards of total offense (that's 2 out of the last 3 games), I don't know how Tebow can get any credit for that. That's bad, boring offense, save one drive. And the defense scored a TD and actually kept the game close enough to win. I'm a Broncos fan and there is no way they're winning a Super Bowl or even getting to a point where they're a legitimate threat until they get a new QB. And that's a shame bc the defense has made tremendous strides from when they were pretty much a sieve.... Don't get me wrong, Tebow is a good player and can help a championship team win.. just not as the primary QB.

i like him, but anyone that believes he will be a year in starting QB in the NFL is an Idiot. This bubble will burst but its fun to see how long it will last.

Agreed that the Broncos defense got a pick 6. The Jets didn't get one because Tebow didn't turn it over. As a matter of fact, in 5 starts Tebow has 6 touchdown passes, only 1 interception, and no fumbles lost. He has taken care of the football. If you don't turn it over, you can play a ball control offense, and can help your defense by not allowing the opponent a short field. Who cares about points scored. This ain't fantasy football or betting in Vegas. Winning is all that matters.

It will work for a while, but get figured out and stopped. You can't win in today's NFL throwing for 100 yards or less. Not long term.

He is doing this with Willis McGahee, Eric Decker and Eddie Royal. If he had true stud at RB and a couple of receivers and didn't have to do it all by himself, it wouldn't be this close. The Broncos are terrible. <div>
</div><div>I think Tebow could be the ultimate game manager in the NFL. Imagine if he had Megatron, our Houston's Foster/Andre 3000 combo, or Frank Gore, or Ray Rice, etc. etc. </div>

that was posted on Bulldawgs 24/7? If the stats are correct, Tebow is kicking Elways *** over the 1st several games of their careers.

Cowherd is already wearing him out this morn. His excuse was the jets got in prevent???? What Rex ryan isnot a good enough defense genius now? he will get better at throwing the ball. Agree with Azzuri, the broncos rb and wr situation is not stellar at all.....bottom 1/4 of the league in talent. What I noticed last night is that brian dawkins (a what? 20 year vet loves the guy) champ bailey is the first guy to grab him when he comes off the field after the score. That defense plays their assoff for him. Von Miller said "we all trust him and we are going to ride with him till the end." Tebow said after the game that they haven't changed any of the offense, but added a few plays here and there that I do well and get me comfortable. Don't think they ran the option but a few times last night. I do think eventually he will have to pass more but he will learn to do that in time on the field. now he shows flashes of great throws then some poor ones. I think he will take some time toget used to thespeed. I think he will start more than a year from now. Wildcat offenses can't throw the ball as well as Tebow....he has a long way to go but the throws it miles better than ronnie brown or ricky williams. his throw is a threat off read option play action. Better not run support too hard. He has what romo doesn't have.....things naturally go right for him in the last two minutes.

He is a great christian person, I can't help but feel like someone in greater power is looking after him. Sportwriters and agnostics will never understand/accept that which is fine, but that doesn't mean it is not so.

He didn't look like that in college. Whatever they've tried to teach him, its screwed him up. He needs to quit forcing a mechanic that he cannot do. Just throw it man. Ya'll are gonna run the spread anyway- just try to connect. This is not a timing offense (compared to the prostyle). Also, his receivers dropped several balls that killed drives last night too- he's not accurate but they aren't great either.

Btw- they've have just begun to implement this offense. The NFL has always been scared to try different offenses, especially option oriented.Tebow is forcing Denver into a nice little experiment. It may not work long term, butmost people said the spread wouldn't last whenit started showing up in college. It takes getting your butt beat a few times before you realize your behind. I'd give it a while before I just wrote it off.

Does it make you sad like.... a bag of kittens thrown into a river-sad? Or only sad like your marshmellow just dropped off the stick into the campfire-sad?

Really.. what level of sadness does it bring over you that Tim Tebow believes he is an NFL quarterback?

At the very least, Tebow has upped his trade value tremendously. Don't get me wrong, I think the Broncos would be nuts to trade himif for no other reason than heputs butts in the seats. However, I could see him fitting in great as a change up QB on teams like Baltimore and San Franciso that are run first type of teams.

It has been hilarious watching the talking heads twist themselves into knots trying to explain away why the Broncos are 4-1 with Tebow but 1-4 with Orton.

Kyle Orton passed for 3600 yards last year with mostly the same
supporting cast. John Fox said it out loud: if they had to run a regular
offense they would be screwed (they're still screwed, just in a
different way). Tebow is not a good passer. His mechanics are bad, his
footwork is worse, he doesn't react well to the blitz, he doesn't read
defenses well enough or quickly enough. He has trouble coming off his
primary receiver to his next options, and his accuracy is spotty at
best. There's a reason Brandon Lloyd was lobbying so hard for Orton.. he
was their only real WR threat and he knew Tebow couldn't get it done.
Hell if you told Kyle Orton he only had to muster up 1-2 drives per game, I'm pretty sure he could do it.

If you are winning with him and losing without him then you can't hadicap your team by NOT playing him. I don't care what his other stats are, that W vs Lone is the only one that matters.

Who cares about points scored? What?

30QB'sin the leagueare averaginga higher yards per attempt, completion %,total yards per game(running included), and QB rating than Tebow had last night. The worst offense in theNFL averages more points and total offense than the Broncos had last night.

The only way Tebow "won the game" for them last night would be if he played defense. If you want to say he wasthe reason the defense played well, fine. But 8 of the offense's first 11 possessionsended in a 3 and out or less, and they had 3 points through the first 59 minutes of the game, that's BAD offense.

If they don't improve on offense I think it's reasonable toassume they're going to have a lot more games like they did against the Lions than the Jets/Dolphins/Chiefs. I guess Tebow prayed for the defense and they got better

what if they get him a great back that can run and catch, a safety blanket TE, a couple threats at Wr and he completes 12-15 balls a game for 200 with a running game and that defense.

It's not like the AFC west is murders row. All they have to do is out play Norv Turner.

@ chargers......W?
@ minnesota....W?
chicago............L with a chance at it
new england.....L doubtful
@ buffalo.........W
KC.................W

9-7 winning the Afc west??? maybe
