Guys had a chance to take in Hoover vs Allen this past Friday and while I have had the fortune to play in and go to some big time stadiums what I witnessed Friday was one of the most impressive things of all because we are talking high school. The atmosphere (17,000 plus) was insane and everything about it was 1st class. From a football perspective I think MC and maybe a few other teams in NC would have fared well against either team. What I saw as the biggest differences was the depth and overall offensive play calling. I was really impressed with Hoover even though they lost. The have some very good defensive players but offensively other than the first 2 drives they were stuck in reverse and kept the D backed up all night. Final score was 25-7 but it was close until Allen pulled away late. Hope to post some photos & short video via facebook.

That would be awesome. I have only seen HS football in NC, SC, GA, VA, OR and WA in person.

I went to the Dutch Fork game in 2014. $10 a ticket and they were lined up over an hour before the gate opened.

Everything I have seen on them say 4500-4700 students. But either way I couldn't imagine going to a high school that big!

I talked to one of the administrators - they are a shade over or under 5000 depending on the time of year. They decided about 15 years ago ( I believe) to have just one high school so they would not end up like Plano. It is truly a sight to see the campus.

The confusion with a lot of Texas school enrollments is what class make up the school. Some are 9-12, others have a freshman academy (9 and then 10-12), while some are split between a high school (9-10) and senior high school (11-12). A person may say the Enrollment is X but it only includes two or three high school grades.
