Thank you to all the Veterans who have served our country in the past and who are currently serving. I want to give a special acknowledgement to my Dad who served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam along with many other family members who have served over the many years of our country's history.

We’re having a fish fry today in Maiden in honor of one of my closest friends who passed earlier this year. A Vietnam vet and Purple Heart recipient who played QB for Maiden in the ‘60’s. I’ve spoke of him several times over the years here on Preps. He loved the Pirates of ECU too!

My heroes are those who risk their lives every day to protect our world and make it a better place - police, firefighters and members of our armed forces.

Thank you to all that have served at any capacity. You all are this nation heroes.
