The 5 Stages Of Grief

Step 1: Denial And Isolation

I left the game with 11:00 left in the 3rd. I went back to my tail gate by myself and took a nap.

Step 2: Anger

The next day, I assessed what I had seen. It pissed me off. So many 3-man defensive fronts. Not substituting on defense when aTm subs on offense, leaving our gassed players out there. Lining a 3-4 up against a jumbo set. Safeties playing prevent, literally staying 15 yards deeper than the deepest receivers. WTF. And on offense - no discernible strategy..just out there running some plays. Dammit.

Step 3: Bargaining

If only we could get rid of Chris Wilson, this would all go away.

Step 4: Depression

How many DCs has Dan had now? Will we ever get a decent DC? And we're stuck with Koenning. No good OC is going to come here and be overshadowed by the head coach. What's the point...

Step 5: Acceptance

We are. M State.

My name is FlabLoser and I'm on step 3.

1A. Drink. Drink some more. Don't even bother to watch Ga- OM, light grill instead. Drink some more, eat too much. Fall asleep in the 3rd of Bama- Lsu.

We were so clueless and lifeless, I don't even know what exactly to be mad about. Just mad.

If you didn't watch Georgia pummel Ole Miss.....

then you missed a great opportunity to make yourself feel better.

Wrong. I felt even worse. Even as they were getting their asses handed to them with big plays by UGA, it was pretty obvious to anyone that thier players were giving 100%. We are in deep ****.

Sorry man, that ship sailed on Sat morning

We are 7-2 with victories over four cupcakes and three SEC teams with a combined conference record of 0-18. We have had two opportunities to play solid competition and the team got thrown all over the field both times. Tuscaloosa was understandable, but A&M was a complete embarrassment. Like many others, I have no reason to think that we'll win another game this season after being 2 weeks removed from a "we believe" campaign.

I've got too much else going on in my life to wallow in misery about it, but I can certainly understand others' grief right now.

I agree. Their players were giving 100%, they just weren't as talented. It was pretty close until the DB missed a tackle and the GA player made a big gain. That seemed to change the momentum.

I'm not conceding the season just yet.....

I've seen much weirder things in football. wouldn't surprise me to see us win next week. long shot, for sure.

if we come out and look terrible against arkansas and ole miss, then i'll start getting mad. but mistakes do get made sometimes, things don't always go your way in coaching. with 7 wins already, i'll give them the benefit of the doubt, to not be judged until December.
