So we're basically admitting we just pissed a year away. Sunk cost and all, so this is a good thing, but we have to stop pissing away seasons with ****** coordinators.

Well best they make a change after one poor year and not waste 2 or 3 because we’ve done plenty of that too. It wasn’t pissing away in year 1 guess he just discovered that Butler isn’t cut out for it.
I hope we hire a DC who is ACTIVE right now and will bring some dudes with him. Not some guy who has been out of the loop.
Last year Tony White leaves and we give Butler an audition at bowl game and then we hire him.
This year, Butler is fired. We give an audition to Williams at bowl game and then hire him? I’d be disappointed.
Let’s go look for an elite proven defensive coordinator. One who doesn’t need Phil Snow to watch over him

Holy Shite! They actually did it. Jim Leonard would be my guy, only negative is he doesn't bring portal players. Please freaking bring in someone with BIG experience. We have to have somebody who knows how BIG football is played. Build to beat 80% of the league. Worry about beating the Ohio State, Indiana, and Oregon's of the world later.

I like Phil Snow legendary DC. But may be time to get rid of him too.

A serious program would throw a bag at Stoops, Durkin, or Wilcox. But I fully expect Rhule to hire Phil Snow.
No DC can be successful with Jeudy as their nose in the B10.
This is a great examples of Rhule's inability to build a roster In the current NIl landscape. He has a proven track record of overpaying for mediocre players.
I'm fine with the 3-4 but for this next year's team seems 4-3 would be optimal.
get some boys on the DL and get some penetration. 3 guys playing pattycake doesn't cut it.

Although we are at the end of year 3. By far the quickest and more effective way to rebuild and become instantly more competitive is by stockpiling defense particularly Dline-- this is where the the great majority of recruit and portal efforts should be focused
I don’t think he leaves Iowa… But speaking of Phil… Phil Snow is probably gonna get this job. I’m not sure how I feel about that.
I actually think Jim Leonard could be a real possibility here.
If we hire Phil Snow, while I don't think he would be terrible, I do think it looks like he's been trying to put his friend in position to do this for 2 1/2 years. Looks really bad.
