So you are saying I should put him on ignore like dpic73?

I usually wait until the obtuseness or mendacity reaches a certain level. Or the poster posts so often that they suck the oxygen out of the room and ignore is the only way to find other peoples posts without going to page 3.

Poor old dpic lasted less than a week.

Ad Hominem and general jack@ssery are not reasons for me to ignore.

My defenses are not really meant for his consumption but for the board at large. I will not let ad hominem go unchallenged.

Anti-Semitism is a quick path to ignore.
Do whatever you want just don’t waste your time. He called me a red neck white boy repeatedly. Constantly making references to me like red neck and hillbilly and white boy. Very odd behavior for a tolerant liberal. Just a complete psycho honestly, disjointed ideas and weird logic that’s nonsensical. Thinks all whites owe blacks reparations but will scold you over making broad comments about any “oppressed” group like Muslims or trans. Just not worth the time. Unhinged.

I make for a difference in white trash, red neck and hillbilly. I am from Appalachia and wear the Hillbilly moniker with pride. I have neve been a redneck or white trash. True hillbillies are hard working, self reliant, generous, religious folk. They are a bit leery of strangers but once they befriend you its usually for life unless you do something stupid to piss them off, mess with their family or property.

Sounds like maybe I started your spiral into madness. Sorry big guy!

People have very short term memory if they don't remember that inflation was the #1 reason dems lost the election. Inflation topped out at 9% under the Biden admin. Covid may have influenced it, but they had 3 years after that to get it down and failed. In addition, they tried to pass Build Back Better which was massively inflationary, when inflation was at it's peak. It was a tone deaf maneuver that was only thwarted by Manchin and imo it was a large reason why they lost. People did not trust them to bring prices down.

Additionally, democrats should not be complaining about health care cost inflation. It's named Obamacare.
I know, right?! Health costs never went up prior to Obamacare.

You should just give up. You embarrass yourself with each post.

yea, but healthcare costs were supposed to decrease under the ACA. So much so that each family was going to save $2500/year.

Don't misunderstand me. The ACA was a good attempt. But, IMO, was built on incorrect assumptions and the fact that it has failed was due, in part, to some outside circumstances. OK, but let's look forward. We can keep the good things like pre existing conditions, the up to age 26 thing etc, but lets go back to the drawing board and fix what's broken. And this time lets get some rational members of both parties together, not with the goal of defeating the opposition, but with the goal of developing a program for the benefit of the American people. Wouldn't that be a novel concept?

I have to disagree. It was designed to fail and to usher in government run healthcare.

I got simple rules that should govern any laws. The patient and doctor determine the treatment. Not government bean counters or insurance. You collect a premium you pay the bill. Anything less is fraud. Build out the laws from there.

you might be correct, but I don't know what was in the minds of all those who voted for it back in 2010. I do believe that government run healthcare especially "Medicare for all" would bankrupt the country. And, IMO, the fraud would dwarf all the combined fraud from SNAP, Medicaid and Medicare combined.

Most did not read the bill and Pelosi said you had to pass it before you could find out what was in it! That was brazenly in you face.

that's a big part of our budget problem in the federal government. They keep passing these omnibus bills and they're so big the rank and file have little idea what's in them. It's the leaders who stick what they want in the bill.
