A couple of pitts OL are 6th year players, so it would seem this war will truly be won in the trenches, and how well WVU negates Pitts Big play potential from their very twitchy RB core.  The optimism regarding Lee K will surely be put to the test early and often in this game.I was watching their game vs MSU in the bowl game.  Pitt was the better team, but had to play their 3rd string QB, and lost the game in the last minute, so the score doesnt really reflect their quality as a team, and they didnt lose much aside from their QB & WR, which were major pieces but replaced to some degree(we'll see)..Im very curious how Lesley adapts the starting 11 roster during the game to counter Pitt's Short & Shifty skillsets, and this will be a major test for both WVU's DL & OL early on, so we should get a good feeling of the potential of this team.  That said, we have to account for a new QB, New OC, so it may take a few games before our offense finds its rhythm, which is both normal & logical.  One can hope whomever starts for WVU at QB, has good timing with our WRs, and our OL play has truly taken a major step forward from last season.  If our OL play hasnt taken major steps forward, I would actually prefer Garrett Greene to start at QB, because hes not a statue in the pocket and can create positive plays when they break down.  However, if our OL has improved, then JTD would probably be the better option.  Though, we shall see.  I really like Greene, I think hes a natural leader, and just needed to develop as a passer some, because he didnt do it much in HS.  Which takes time, and patience isnt a common trait among fans..  But, it is good that we have two very different types of QBs on the roster, so we can match the optimal player to the progression of the OL.  I also think Greene's skillset helps create more space & lanes for the RB's too, because LB's have to account for him...  Its a bit weird to think, but whomever starts at QB may.... or at least could be dependent on how much progress our OL has made this offseason.  That is if...... IF Greene's arm & sight has developed this offseason.  Im simply partial to a dual threat type of QB, at least one with wheels good enough to escape the pocket and not be a liability..  We have to remember Greene is just a redshirt Soph, so hes still pretty young, as Collegiate QBs usually dont hit their stride until their Jun & Sen years.  I think people placed unfair expectations on Greene last year as a RSFresh, learning a new system, with a young OL..  After-all Will Grier didnt really shine until his Senior year...Any rate, absolutely ecstatic for this game. Its going to be a tough test for WVU esp our DL & OL fronts, as Pitt is also a well coached team, and there are many unknowns with WVU.  That said, betting WVU wins more than 5.5 games is easy money...  I think both teams will play to win the ToP, which will revert back to trench warfare... Either way, it will def be a good measuring stick for progress... Lets hope WVU gets one in the W column...#LETSGO</blockquote>
