Don't bother. I know it's not a "fact". But she was undoubtedly, the worst candidate in US policical history.ok on it...
Every time her name comes up now, democrats run for the hills. She has 0% chance of any meaningful political future in the US.
Don't bother. I know it's not a "fact". But she was undoubtedly, the worst candidate in US policical history.ok on it...
she was, but likely not the most incompetent...Biden was pretty bad as well, and there are quite a few, some on here actually who think Democrats screwed Bernie out of the nomination. Now that would have definitely negated your belief that Kamala was the most incompetentYou know she was awful.
well again, there have been plenty more pi-- poor candidates in both parties. It's really not possible to quantify worst..now one of worst would be less debatable.Don't bother. I know it's not a "fact". But she was undoubtedly, the worst candidate in US policical history.

If the election was based on competence, the people certainly selected the right candidate. Kamala Harris was probably the most unqualified, incompetent candidate in US political history. That's not meant to inflame, that is just a straight up fact.
Biden may have been worse but he actually won. So, if you are a winner you can't be in the worst categoty.she was, but likely not the most incompetent...Biden was pretty bad as well, and there are quite a few, some on here actually who think Democrats screwed Bernie out of the nomination. Yeah, the guy who trounced her. That guy.The unqualified part is especially absurd. She was a Vice President, US Senator, and California Attorney General. That doesn't necessarily make her competent but the guy she was running against (when he ran the first time) was....a pretty good TV personality? A guy who bankrupted multiple casinos? A person whose first foray into public life was being sued for housing discrimination? Like other than him being good at licensing his own name and having a TV show (which are in no way relevant experience to being POTUS) I have no clue what you'd even say his qualifications are.
Yeah, the guy who trounced her. That guy.
Donald Trump won an acutal primary defeating 15+ other candidates on ideas.Remember, we're talking about qualifications here. What had Donald Trump done to qualify him to be President? I honestly cannot think of a less qualified President ever but I'm not going to claim that as fact.
Edit: Adding a definition since you're clearly confused:
"a quality or accomplishment that makes someone suitable for a particular job or activity."
here's another point for your consideration...the president is the executive. The duties, and skill sets, of that office are significantly different. Ever heard of the "Peter principal". You can be a great senator, where you can vote for a law, but be totally ineffective in executing that law.The unqualified part is especially absurd. We could debate the issue forever, but in my opinion, we'll never find out if Kamala has executive level skills.
Donald Trump won an acutal primary defeating 15+ other candidates on ideas.
Kamala never had to present any ideas. If there was an open primary, Kamala would not have finished top 3. Another #Fact
ok, but in the last election he had 4 years of being presidentI'm not disputing that at all. Only saying that Trump didn't have any qualifications.
ok, but in the last election he had 4 years of being president
Nixon eliminating any peg to gold to fund the Viet Nam war swung the hen house door off the hinges. Following years inflation jumped until Volcker facilitated high interest rates I remember my Dad had CDs paying close to 20%.Inflation has leveled out just under 3% not crushed, and if the fed keeps cutting this is the bottom.
If only a couple presidents hadn't dumped money we didn't have on the economy..... If only a certain president didn't oversee the shutdown of the US/world economy creating easily foreseeable disruptions in the supply chain....
If only we weren't still dumping money on stimulus projects to stimulate and save an economy from COVID, 4 years after the event.....
If only politicians didn't pander and then lie....
If only citizens voted for competence rather than binary party labels.
I don't know, but hasn't Trump always favored a weak dollar?Nixon eliminating any peg to gold to fund the Viet Nam war swung the hen house door off the hinges. Following years inflation jumped until Volcker facilitated high interest rates I remember my Dad had CDs paying close to 20%.
Yeah, that makes your groceries cheaper. You aren't complaining are you?The value of the U.S. dollar has recently declined, reaching its weakest level since early 2022, largely influenced by comments from President Trump expressing a lack of concern about the drop. As of January 28, 2026, the U.S. Dollar Index is around 96.28, reflecting a significant decrease over the past year.
You actually believe that?Yeah, that makes your groceries cheaper. You aren't complaining are you?![]()
Politics aside, how is this volatility playing in what you follow?Donald Trump won an acutal primary defeating 15+ other candidates on ideas.

Ned, is it not less about today than how things are affecting the futureall you have to do is go to the grocery store to see that prices are still high. But as someone has pointed out, we would need deflation to get all prices down to pre Biden levels..
that's why I have posted that Trump is going in the wrong directions by telling voters that prices are going down..some are, some aren't. But when the total at checkout is higher the average consumer see that number.
Are things better under Trump? To Me depends on your financial status. It's been a good trump year for me, but I know other people who have not seen better circumstances.
not aimed at me but...This volatility is overwhelming. I don't know how anyone manages all the balls that are in the air. If you just focused on the economy - inflation, housing, jobs, interest rates, trade, tariffs - that's a full time job. But now we've got full court press on immigration, Iran, NATO, Canada, drugs, pharmaceutical, Medicare advantage, housing affordability, palisade permitting., whew...and there's more, elections, Congress, Cuba, the dollar, crypto, gold ...who can keep up.Politics aside, how is this volatility playing in what you follow?
To a large degree the stock market in todays time is socialized with government interventions and deficit spending.not aimed at me but...This volatility is overwhelming. I have to admit I'm absolutely amazed in a really good way that the stock market is doing so well.
We've gone from a president who took naps (which is one of god's greatest inventions IMO) to one that never sleeps.
I don't follow all this stuff as closely as you apparently do....but, one of the reasons my wife and I save so much is because we are really concerned about our grandchildren and their futures. Both of us have fewer days in front of us then behind, but it's the opposite for them.Ned, is it not less about today than how things are affecting the future
all excellent pointsTo a large degree the stock market in todays time is socialized with government interventions and deficit spending.
Best to separate morality from any view of the market.
A quote from Bernard Baruch stuck with me a long time ago.
"Trade what you see, not what you think"
Is that grape or cherry you are drinking?Trump is proving his competence. 4%+ growth. Inflation on the decline. Crime down. Illegal immigration stopped. Essentially accomplishing what he campaigned on. Kamala didn't even know what she was campaigning on.
I had one at 16.5%- 5 years....Nixon eliminating any peg to gold to fund the Viet Nam war swung the hen house door off the hinges. Following years inflation jumped until Volcker facilitated high interest rates I remember my Dad had CDs paying close to 20%.
Especially if you are eating those $3 meals so readily created/identified by the administration.Yeah, that makes your groceries cheaper. You aren't complaining are you?![]()
18+ trillion dollars of investment in the US and counting says your opinion sucks.People are bailing on America. Dollar is tanking. And Trump seems to be ok with it.
the sad reality is the folks who own assets will be fine, but those who live paycheck to paycheck are going to get crushed.
Its going to be a net plus for Spartanburg County.oh boy, hope you guys don't live near that.
Read what I said which acknowledged that its down some.Check the international currency indices. USD is DOWN 10%+ vs every other major currency. Facts are funny things, but not subject to partisanship blinders.
Showing your tds with statements like this. Either that or the other option is stupid.I'm not disputing that at all. Only saying that Trump didn't have any qualifications.
What…Trump wouldn’t lie about such matters, would he?
Im from Spartanburg, it will cause power to be more expensive. It will create maybe 100 jobs. If it ends up costing the locals 10 dollars more per month on power bills, its a net negative. Its going to be a net plus for Spartanburg County.
This is like when you geniuses predicted tariffs would wreck the economy and cause inflation to soar. All were wrong. Let's see what happens. I will stick with Trump who is right most of the time.Especially if you are eating those $3 meals so readily created/identified by the administration.
Weak dollar also makes a lot of stuff more expensive- anything imported-- add that to the tariffs as they phase in on anything electronic, most clothes, etc. (assuming Taco Don doesn't pivot and cower again), any international travel or business purchases, basically everything in the rest of the world. That is the way of the third world- local goods are relatively affordable anything imported is prohibitive. That is the weak dollar world Don wants us to live in--- more people working lower paid jobs with the real money accumulating at the top. If you are near the top, congrats you are doing well. The lady that worked the register when I bought breakfast this morning was lamenting how cold it was when she got off her first job at 4 am, hoped it would warm up so she could afford to heat the house-- that's the world a lot of folks are facing- multiple low paying jobs and worried about basic utilities...
Revenue to the county should soar. The local leaders are apparently happy about it.Im from Spartanburg, it will cause power to be more expensive. It will create maybe 100 jobs. If it ends up costing the locals 10 dollars more per month on power bills, its a net negative.
I’ve been having good success trading the 0DTE’s.Politics aside, how is this volatility playing in what you follow?
