The discussion between patdog and myself got me thinking to do this in a poll. You may discuss as well.

Wouldn't we be favored against both Arkansas and Mississippi? And if so, wouldn't that be 9-3?

Is the 8-4 - No upsets mean both upset wins/losses? Just need clarification before I vote.

I would rather win all the games we are supposed to win and not upset/get upset. Upsetting a team doesn't amount to anything if you lose to Maine, UAB, LaTech, or Tulane in the same year.

So we are basically talking the 2010 season vs the 2000 season? I'll take 2010 every time.

Not really a whole lot of difference to me. In 2000, the highs from the wins over UF & AU were balanced out by the inexcusable losses to LSU, Ark, & UM. And really if you want to tell the truth, other than being a very memorable and exciting game, the Snow Bowl was a pretty disappointing performance by us. That game shouldn't have been anywhere near that close.

This season is probably the better example than 2010 b/c in 2010 we weren't expecting that good of a season.

Let's say we end up 8-4 with beating Ole Miss but losing to Arkansas. And let's trade out one of our wins (like Kentucky if we beat them) in 2000 for a win over Ole Miss so we have the same type of season.

I still take 2000 b/c of those big wins while losing to some teams we should have beaten (Arkansas, LSU) than this season where we didn't beat or lose to anyone we were supposed to.

Upset LSU & Bama, lose to UAB & LaTech, go 7-1 in the SEC West ... go to Hotlanta for a shot at the SEC trophy.

Yea - let's say this year we beat LSU and A&M but lost to Tennessee and Arkansas.

In this case, i would go with the upset win/loss scenario because we never beat LSU. In all actuality, I'm for whatever has us ranked the highest at the end of the year.

Well, I voted 8-4 with upsets. Losing any SEC games prior to Alabama and LSU but followed up with a win over Alabama, LSU, Ark and OM is a no brainer. But it would have to be an upset loss(es) in games prior to Alabama. Because if you beat Alabama to get to 8-0 and then lose out...... it kinda sours it. However, I would trade a UT win and OM win (or Ark) for a Alabama win. Picking up the 7th win at Bama and then the 8th vs Arkansas (or OM) would be a good season.

I would almost say, beat Bama and LSU but lose to UT, aTm, Arkansas and OM is a good trade. But we haven't beaten Arkansas enough and ONLY if you won the bowl game.
