I still wish Kasdan would've stuck around for VIII, but whatevs
Yeah, he's doing the Han movie and then that's it.

Smart money is on Rey being Luke's. But nobody knows for certain.Rey is Luke's daughter, duh, right? Or am I lost again amongst all the smart Star Wars talk?
I was surprised to find that Grunberg played Temmin Wexley, one of the main characters in the Aftermath novel. He's now an X-Wing pilot.
He wasn't struck down (of course neither was Yoda) and he was half machine anyway. Plus all the Jedi that got killed in that arena in AOTC didn't disappear either. I assume you have to reach a certain level of Jedi-ocity to do that.5 yr old just asked if Vader is dead how come his body didn't evaporate like everyone that uses the force.
Good question even though Anakin did appear as an everlasting spirit with yoda and obi-wan.
^ because Lucas just threw Anakin in there and then added the Qui-gon stuff later.
Sounds dorky, and if you bought book, even more dorky, but, can you please update if worth reading? TiaJust bought the book. Hoping the Novelization goes a little more in-depth, but we'll see.
Yea, I'm making fun of myself too. You sure do miss a lot of obvious stuff.Well if that isn't the most paddock thing ever. Hey you got a book to get all the answers to a 20 page thread full of questions. What dork! But since your a dork please tell me if I should be a dork too, but don't tell anyone I'm a dork.
I've considered buying the book myself because there is simply too much stuff not making sense. I hate reading but I almost have enough motivation to do it, not sure yet though.

You really are that dumb, aren't you? [laughing]I just assume when discussing for 20 pages like Star Wars where so many are nerds when it comes to this stuff that there is no reason to even call someone a dork about anything.
Follow that up with making fun of yourself by asking for a book report, and well I'd guess maybe there is no need for the dork comments at all and maybe just a "hey let me know if it's worth it" would have been better.
And that wasn't me making fun of myself, I really hate to read honestly. Never been good at it and zone out usually within minutes or go to sleep.
Jesus, that was after editing? [laughing]Smart enormous this to know LEK likes to come out of the D, and mess with people when he gets a chance. Not to worried about badgering him or vice verse.
But why you crawl out of the political thread and attempt to be normal is something to behold.
I'm of the mind set she was trained as a kid. Why she "learns" Jedi stuff. Good theory.just got back from my third and final viewing of TFA in theaters (found a showing that still had tickets, amazingly enough)
I'm now back to thinking Rey isn't a Solo. If anything, she's Luke's, but I'm not even sold on that.
a couple things that made me flip:
(1) Han never recognized her, but Leia did immediately
(2) Maz told Rey "Whoever left you there [on Jakku] is never coming back".
(3) Rey's vision included three scenes: the Bespin hallway, the forest on Starkiller, and a rainy landscape where the Knights of Ren were gathered. The first two make sense, but what significance does the third have for Rey/the lightsaber?
Regarding (1): Theoretically Leia could've found out she was pregnant right after Ben went psycho and Han left (explaining why neither of them know her), but this seems like a stretch to me. Leia had no reason to hide this from Han for two decades, plus Kylo Ren probably would've sniffed it out (albeit Vader didn't understand Luke until Palpatine told him)
Regarding (2): To me, this means she was either hidden there by somebody who subsequently died OR marooned there by someone who's permanently turned to the Dark Side
Regarding (3): The Bespin hallway revealed Luke's parentage, the forest of Starkiller saw Rey's "first step" in mastery of the Force, but why the Knights of Ren scene? Kylo Ren is shown murdering a lightsaber-wielding person (Jedi?), and the camera shows that person from the perspective of a smaller person, possibly a child.
My conclusion: Rey was hidden on Jakku by the person seen murdered by Kylo Ren.
Educated guess: Kylo Ren murdered Rey's mother (or father, I suppose)
I'm still unsure about Luke being Rey's father. That would be a repeat of the mistake made by Anakin (falling in love with Padme), and it's possible that the authors are trying to bring an entirely new family into the Star Wars saga. Evidence against that, though, would be the fact that she's stronger in the Force than anybody not named "Skywalker", the vision of the Bespin hallway, the calling of the Skywalker lightsaber, and that Leia recognized her.
AgreedI'm sure the vision of Kylo Ren was the past when he slaughtered the jedi.
Also don't forget that Maz said after the one Rey is looking for isnt coming back.... She then says but there is one... and Rey says Luke. She was looking for her family ... so its another clue she is probably Luke's kid and also a clue that her mother is possibly who dropped her off.
Ooooooooooo I like that theoryThe person murdered by Kylo Ren in the flashback looks like one of his own Knights of Ren. Same type of armor. The guy is facing AWAY from Kylo Ren and Ren's saber goes into his back and out through his chest. To me, it almost looks like Kylo Ren was PROTECTING a young Rey from one of his own who was about to kill her.
Han Solo said it was "stolen"from him, and what if he meant that he did a trade that was so lopsided that it was figuratively stolen from him in a deal to protect Rey? Might explain him leaving on a different ship since the one he traded (Falcon) was no longer an option for travel.
Why would he go out and seek to kill her At end? He tells her it's not over.Ooooooooooo I like that theory
I still think Kylo Ren marooning his kid sister on Jakku and lying to Snoke about it is the best storyline, but we'll see
