I think we should go re edit the trench scene and when Vader is chasing down Luke he should say "The midichorian count is strong in this one." You know to match up with my vision of the prequels.

^I don't get the hate for Return of the Jedi. I love it.

The Ewoks are terrible. Jar-Jar aside, at least the Gungans had some semblance of technology and stood a chance against the droid army. No way the Ewoks would have defeated the Emperor's "best troops" even with rebel help.

The Death Star was a complete rehash. Seriously. It was said to be "more powerful" than the first one, but we got 0 inkling of that. It only blew up a few ships.

The first act with Jabba's palace, while fun, was ultimately pointless. It didn't advance the overall plot forward and is just like the first act of the 3rd Matrix movie. Just get on with it!

I still like the movie. I rank it #4 behind Revenge of the Sith.

Big blew that is just a terrible take.

Jabba's Palace pointless? They were only talking about Jabba hunting down Solo for ALL of the previous two films. Pointless.

Ohh, look at you misspelling my username. Clever......

Anyway, yeah it is pointless. We spend 30 minutes on a side detour mission instead of wrapping up the bigger picture. I did say I liked the sequence and find it fun, but in the grand scheme of things, it really didn't matter. What should have happened is that they fail to get Han out alive and that would have advanced the plot and characters forward. There is no character changes as a result of the Jabba sequence. Han is still the same ole Han.

I would have rather seen the first act be Luke as Jedi infiltrating an Empire base and discovering the 2nd death star's existence and whereabouts. That would have advanced the plot.

Who wants to bet Rey is the new "chosen one?" I think that's probably a popular take.

The girl must be a scrapper, she likely goes around stealing copper to support her habit.
I can already tell that this movie is going to be packed with Disney's political propaganda. Protagonists who live their lives digging through dumpsters in the desert? "Evil" militaries oppressing them (the soldiers of which are, not surprisingly, white)?

I'm thoroughly expecting to hear stories about an ancient Jedi master named "Mohah-Mid" or some garbage like that.

Just another nauseating piece of anti-Christian, anti-white, anti-veteran propaganda from Hollywood. Keep worshipping JJ, sheep. I'll pass.

Maybe white on the outside, but all brother on the inside. [banana]
Maybe he's searching for dunes for the Jedi Maud'dib.

I don't like that they added the Chinese symbols. Some kind of code? Clues about Jar Jar? Am I supposed to learn mandarin now? Not feeling it.

What?!? Another one?

So that trailer might contain a HUGE spoiler.

Notice the dialogue at 0:40 in this trailer when you hear the robotic voice during the clip of Vader's helmet. In the US version, it was just "I will finish what you started". In this Japanese trailer, it's "I will fulfill our destiny. I will finish what you started". Why would it be "our" destiny unless it's Luke's voice speaking? It could very well be an echo of Vader's admonition to Luke and his prediction in Episode V about how Luke "must fulfill [Luke's] destiny and rule the galaxy as father and son".

There are almost too many 'clues' that it might be Luke, that I think it won't be. My guess is that Sidious had other Sith in training, or at least identified as future Apprentices. JMO.

I did read a theory that Luke Skywalker is actually the guy in the mask, not kylo ren or maybe is kylo ren? But it said Luke was the sith, or something of that order. Just expands this theory.

Someone earlier said could be grandson of Vader

JJ is still trolling the fans. at the end of this trailer it says that hope is not lost today, it is found while showing Rey. so she is "the New Hope". so if she is Luke's daughter, and Luke is the baddie behind the mask, and she is this trilogy's new hope, then JJ has just essentially remade the exact same movie. which I don't believe he has. this sequel trilogy will be similar to the originals, but will go in some different direction. wouldn't ya think? and Chewie is a whole lot of baddass! just throwing that out there as well.
