Is Kylo Ren a Sith? And if so according to the previous 3 movies there's always 2, right? If thats the case either Luke or Leia would have to be the other Sith it would seem.

I don't think it's that. Based on the interviews from Abrams and Kasdan they're more taking the route of "What if all those Nazi's who escaped to Argentina after World War II founded a redoubt for the Reich and kept on fighting?" A lot of the canon material coming out basically is hinting that there was a New Republic founded and decided to not fight anymore against the "First Order" and basically ceded to them whatever territory they had control over.
It was a tongue in cheek remark

I cannot fathom Kylo Renn being related to them. I'd prefer they not go that route.
Not sure why you can't fathom it... Who would be a bigger fanboy of Darth Vader than his own grandson? He wants to find his crazy uncle Luke and kill off all the Jedi "finishing what Vader started". I know the books aren't going to be canon, but I think this is something that Abrams will pick up. Han and Leia's children fracturing off. One to the dark side and one to the light.

star wars has always been about the saga of the skywalker familly in some form or another. so it is not that hard to figure out that kylo ren will be related one way or another. maybe JJ will explore the roots of where the skywalker's came from? anakin's father has never been revealed, always just said he was born of the force or something like that. they are very powerful force users with a tendency to not be able to reel that power in and turn to the dark side. maybe that lineage will be explored further, maybe not. but this new trilogy will be about them, as an extended family it seems with Leia's offspring perhaps and/or Luke's. this along with some other evil force out there pulling the strings for the knights of ren and kylo causing havoc in the GFFA.

My question is who told him the story of Vader and put it in a fond light?

if we knew that, then we would basically know the main plot of the movie. Abrams isn't revealing this in the promotional stuff. safe to assume that whoever is responsible for this is the main reason why Luke has gone into exile. the new "heroes" are searching for Luke's whereabouts because they will need him to fight this new powerful enemy. thus the movie will about the search for Luke Skywalker, why he disappeared in the first place and who is the new evil force that is causing havoc. Kylo was most likely kidnapped as a very young child because it was known he was related to Luke in on way or another, thus meaning he was the grandson of Vader. whoever knows this is using this as their means to gain power and probably needs to destroy Luke because they know that ultimately that he would be the only one powerful enough to bring them down. so the bad guys will be searching for him along with the good guys. i am speculating.

Ren's Light-Claymore seems rather rough and not refined like a jedi's.
Maybe he didn't have anyone teach him to build it , just some instructions from a jedi manual.

What are the chances someone dies in this film?

UKWizard, we get it. You've made the same jokes over and over again. I know you need attention and the approval of some strangers on the Internet. Bravo.

Now let's talk Star Wars.

You know, you may have me there. I thought I remembered JJ commenting on this a while back, but I couldn't find a link (maybe at Comic Con, but I'm not going to go back and rewatch all of that). I'm probably just remembering fan speculation. I guess I've just come to conjure in my mind Kylo Ren being a bit of a wannabe and he's not very good at building lightsabers. I do try not to speculate too much as I find that at times if a film doesn't end up being what you're anticipating that you end up being disappointed. It's fun to speculate as long as you're open minded to different ideas. That's why I love the marketing for this film with just little teases (there's so many ways this could go) as opposed to Age of Ultron which pretty much released half the film.

harrison ford wanted han to be killed off in ESB. and they didn't do it. many are just speculating that his terms to coming back on board is not to survive all three films so fans are assuming his will be the big death in TFA. perhaps him revealing to kylo ren that he is his father. heard that one before in star wars? and that kylo goes ballistic and kills han. all fan speculation. some MSW site rumors that have been fairly accurate with the trailers have suggested it.

I'm looking forward to this movie as much as anyone. I saw it 12 times in the theater. It was my 8 year old summer. That being said, this is Disney. If the storm troopers break out in song and dance I'm out. Just saying.

I think Chewbacca gets it in the forest. In one of the trailers, Rey is balling her eyes out in the ground, looks like she is laying over something furry, could be Chewbacca.

Later in the trailer, Leia is hugging Han and crying.

Thanks. I was never a big Star Wars fan, but my interest has grown in recent months. I didn't realize the scope of the Star Wars universe.
They have spawned books for years that other writers have been using as their templates. Timothy Zahn wrote a great series that post dates Return of the Jedi, and is amazing. However, when Disney bought Lucasfilm, they said all that stuff is out, and is no longer cannon. I had heard that 1-3 would be in this boat, but appears, that it is not the case. If you were to watch the 1-3, you wouldnt watch anymore.

So what will be used as cannon going forward?

Jar jar

That's all I care about. Where is jar jar? What's he doing?

Why do people hate 1-3? They old up really well. I can understand if there are some plot lines that fan boys don't like, but as movies, they are terrific. Get better each episode. Just good ol' fashioned fun.
