We all know we throw the ball, and this is just the beginning of what Leach brings to the table. So here is a look at the QB room:

Sawyer James Robinson: The next man up

Kid has the genes. His dad was a 1st round draft in 1990 Major League Baseball Draft by the Montreal Expos ... Cousin, Jarrett Stidham, was a quarterback at Auburn and now for the Las Vegas Raiders.

His record in HS was only surpassed by 1 other QB graduating that year. Top-10 pocket passers nationally per ESPN (No. 10), Rivals (No. 9) and 247Sports (No. 10). 813-of-1,265 passing for 11,302 yards and 135 touchdowns.

Braedyn Duncan Locke: The Next back up

Totaled 11,182 passing yards in three years at Rockwall while tossing 128 touchdowns. Holds the Texas Class 6A career record for career passing touchdowns and is second all-time in passing yards. Over took Kyler Murray's record and D King's record.

I would list the latest commit, but until he is here, he is not in the room!

This shows that Leach is recruiting to MSU at a higher level than any coach we have at the QB position. Kids want to come to a place where they are actually taught, learn and get the reps! Leach will put Qbs from MSU in the NFL.

But yes, top caliber QBs for a passing attack. Theoretically our QB situation should only improve for the next several years. Nothing against Will, but it would be great if Sawyer beats him out this next year.

Yep. Rogers is the bottom compared to the future. And Rogers is killing it! So we are pretty set for a long time.

Future? His name is Chris Parson.

You mean the back up to the back up's back up who isn't even on campus.

Parson will be fine, but he will not play anytime soon. He will RS in 2023. In 2024 be a RS Fr. 2025 a RS SO. And may play in 2026.

Rogers has command of the offense but his statue like concrete feet really hold the offense back

id like to see Sawyer or Locke beat him out

After we win out including blowing out UGA while Will averages 4 TD's and 350 yds passing per game to close out the season then bolts to the 1st Round, Sawyer will have to get ready very fast.

Man I’d like to see it, not sure the scouts will have him in the first round with that six flat forty though

I just don't use asterisks. If I did, I would have found a way to use partial asterisks on that post.

I am ready to see what the highest rated QB that we have ever recruited can do. But I can wait.

I agree that Sawyer has the most potential. He has the strongest arm and is the only QB truely above six foot in the locker room. He is also a natural athlete capable of scrambling for a first down when nothing is open. If he can nail down the accuracy this off-season, he could be the one to get us past the 7-5 threshold.
