By request, all ncpreps posters are invited to a meet and greet prior to and after the South Point vs Shelby game this Friday night.

When: 4:00pm until whenever Friday night.

Where: Harris Teeter parking lot across from the school.

Look for a motorhome parked near the fuel center to the right of the grocery store. Harris Teeter does allow parking for the game. Come early and you can get a spot.

GDG will be our grill master and adult beverages are allowed. Bring your own meat and eat right there before the game. I'm buying mine right at the HT.

All Lion, Red Raider and any other team fans are welcome.

GO RAIDERS!!!

I'd be willing to bet more than 5 to 6k. The Reidsville RC game usually has close to that. The Reidsville Lincolnton game last year was packed. The Shelby Reidsville game was packed. I'd be willing to bet you guys have 7 to 8 there Friday.
I go up to watch Salem Football from time to time. Their home side will hold 5k. That's one crazy football town.

Great! We will still be meeting at the red helmet at half time. Hopefully, some of you Lions can get here early.

Holy cow!!! I know you guys are in heaven. What an experience that must be, I would love to attend a rivalry game like that. We don't get to experience games like that out here in Elizabeth City. When we played Edenton last year in the playoffs it was the biggest crowd ever for a high school football game here. It was probably around 3,500. I believe our stadium capacity is 3,000

I have heard numbers from 5K to as many as 12k. The real number is probably somewhere around 7500 to 8000. While this is a premier game and a lot of fans of other teams normally would attend if their team's fate was sealed, there are several other area games with playoff implications that might keep them closer to their native teams - Big South: KM/Crest - 1st place; Huss-Ashbrook (Bell Game) - also w/Crest loss and Huss win tie for 2nd; could be 3-way if Stuart Cramer wins; South Fork -East Lincoln/Newton-Conover - 2nd place; Maiden/Linconton (big rivalry game).

Crest-Shelby three years ago had about 12K there. It was nuts. We got there 3 hours early and the stadium started filling up. It was electric. I think it will be the same way Friday night!

As an incentive for Lion fan attendance, special arm bands will be handed out to assure your safety while sitting on the visitors side. :)

Lineberger stadium record is said to be 14k+ for a South Point vs Shelby contest but it was a playoff game.

I will agree that was crazy people was on the sidelines all the way around the feild. I was their at 5:30 I think to get a seat. And was very very worth it.

Is the reason for the limited parking due to most SP fans just drive their scooters?

There's a guy right beside the stadium that will let you park in his yard for $5. Best $5 I spend. He might charge $10 tomorrow night, though.

I’m thinking the whole meet and greet is a trick, Golden Lions! They sucker you in with that adult beverages thing, get you busted on an open container law violation, and the Shelby fans spend the night in the hoosegow. Take your coozies!

I'm hearing our friend, Lincolnton, may be in attendance. Please do not get him involved in any pregame shenanigans and for God's sake NO adult beverages. He could help those that do end up in the hoosegow if needed. Enjoy the game and may the best team win!

Or even worse they get us drunk and try and take advantage of us Shelby people.I wish we were playing this game during the day.

Cheerduck, if I know our buddy Lincolnton, he'll buy adult beverages for everybody, pay their bail, and drive them all home. He may never make it to the game.

Awesome CHEERDUCK, we'll take care of him. Btw, we only bring adult beverages to fire up our South Point brothers on the visitor side, :)
