Valincius gets out of a small jam in the T5. Sets himself up for a win if we can get it done.

I'd have lost money if you'd bet me that their pitcher would still be on the mound in the 5th after that 1st inning.

And Nunnalee doubles to lead off the B5.

Nice double by Nunnelee. Dint think I’ve ever seen a player wear a shirt with a hood before.

and Ace with the double & rbi.

Reece and Stallman hot to start this season. Three doubles in the inning and a 5-0 lead with 1 out in the B5.

Man, this team is big.

Looked at the 41 man roster and we have 3 players listed under 6'0".

Lots of guys 6'3" or better. 6'7" pitching to 6'5" right now.

For those listening, I agree with Jay: The Flying Dutchmen is a much better mascot than The Pride for Hofstra & they shouldn't have changed it.

Are the Dutch offensive to somebody or something? Why change that????

FWIW...

Hofstra Flying Dutchmen was the former nickname for Hofstra University's athletic teams, used until 2001. The name honored the Dutch heritage of the university's founder, William S. Hofstra. The nickname was changed to Hofstra Pride to reflect the two lions featured on the university's longtime logo, which school officials felt symbolized a more meaningful and inclusive identity.

This has been a pretty well played game. It's tempting to say a team is better than they are when you aren't beating them as easily as you expect, but I think Hofstra is probably going to be a good bit better team this season vs last.

This doesn’t look like an 18-36 team for sure.

This is also very refreshing to see. It’s about time we quit recruiting midgets.
Especially when said midgets aren’t particularly good defensively… or at the plate… nor could they run.

So many poor evaluations during the Lemonis era of kids that just didn’t have it at this level

The one that I remember is Jack Walker. Undersized pitcher out of Lake Charles who was dynamite in HS. Perfect Game National Pitcher of the Year. Gatorade Louisiana POY. But LSU wasn't interested which made you go hmmmm...

12.86 era as a freshman. Ended up at SELA and I don't think he played there. Pretty sure he's no longer playing.
