Ok, seriously, its time to put a real boohonkey spanking on these Yankees (sorry Bruce).

They've played well enough to feel pretty good about themselves overall. Now we need to take the donuts off the bats and unload some dingers on these wedding singers.

I hope the bats are alive because this may not be a long outing for Foster

Chris Billingsley in the game. He got them out in three batters. 6’ 4ā€ out of East Central. He looked good. I hope they put Bauer out there today.

I'm thinking we'll get an extended look at Bauer vs Alcorn in the midweek.

Can't say I understand putting Billingsley in that situation. We don't need an L to this team.

Holding our breath. None of these games has been clean and this one feels particularly dicey.

Man on 3rd with nobody out and we can't get him home. Still up 7-5 going to the 9th but I would say the offense has been disappointing all weekend. We definitely don't look like a Top 5 team right now.

I'm an umpire, not a coach. I don't have to teach the kids anything. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Also, FIFY.
Yeah. Good luck with that too. You will get cussed out for a correct call if you call it. Me, I’d just not call it at that level for sure. But then you’ll get cussed out for not calling it. I’ve done very little refereeing in my life. But when I was about 18, I was refereeing a 5th & 6th grade church league basketball game. One of the kids on the defensive end barely brushed the bottom of the net. The coach got the other team was screaming goaltending. I just said look I know you’re technically right. But I am not calling goaltending in this league. I’m just impressed we have a kid who can touch the net.

I don't know about rarer simply because Little Leaguers don't know what they are doing a lot of the time, especially at the younger levels. Routine plays can turn into chaos in a heartbeat.

Chaos isn't injury. Injury is why the extra base was introduced.

Only watched the 2nd game. But that Michael Brown kid at SS for Hofstra looks like a good player.

Well, not literally, that's true. I guess what I meant by chaos is a routine groundball can easily turn into a bad throw to the first baseman that ends with a trainwreck at first. Bad throws, first baseman standing on the bag instead of touching the side, runner just plowing ahead not looking where the defender is positioned....the kind of chaos that leads to injury.

Welp, that wasn't pretty at all, but absolutely no harm was done to our prospects.

Now they better get their heads out of their butts and not lose to Troy (again).

I don't care (much) how they get there, but they really need to be 8-0 by next Sunday.
