Good morning folks. No miracle comeback yesterday once the Cats got in a hole again. This was probably the toughest game still on the schedule —but several others will be tough. Need to go about 5-1 the rest of the regular season. We’ll see.

Headed out for a run. Hope you all have a great Sunday.

Yeah, disappointing outcome yesterday. Regroup and get back to winning.

Well, I hated the loss but it was better than I expected it to be. We did have a good post game meal, we took some fresh ground beef, put a big patty on aluminum foil, seasoned good, cut up onions, taters, mushrooms, Mrs. M likes bell peppers folded it up good and tight, cooked for about hour and a half. When done open one end a poured out the grease and enjoyed!!! Praying for my friends in the D!!!

Hello all,

Hope your Sunday has been a good one. Keeping you all in prayer.

Rain is here, ice and snow is lessening thankfully.

Hated the loss to Gator's. (My son graduated from UF and attends UF games wearing UK gear.)

Hope these Cats can get something together consistently. They seem to have some parts but darn it takes a team effort. One could say a 9 point loss was not horrible but this from a guy who believes winning EVERY game is acceptable too.

Have a restful afternoon...

(Hope wc is okay...) Haven't seen a post lately.

Most of us on here can remember, for me it was the early 60's, where players from high school would almost line up to get a chance to go to Kentucky, then after graduation some would go to the NBA ( nothing but a$$es) or they knew that they were probably going to be set for life just because they went to Kentucky! People can complain all they want to about recruits, but now it's who can pay me the most! I think the Pride for playing for certain schools is over, all about the money!!!

Just read post lately. Not on as much to post really. As Ranch Wilder in Angels in the Outfield says; "Less is More" sometimes.

Nah,

When you are quiet the world is quiet. THEN I start to worry. (May be part of a song but not sure. If not it ought to be... ;) )...

Glad though all is well.

I was up before the chickens today. This holiday my grandchidlren have no school BUT, their Mom's work, at least one did today. My Darling is going to a bible study today somewhere in Fairfax. (She has the address, I will take her.) I think I will take both grandchildren here with us since one is with us and take them to a playplace when "Ama" meets with her study group.

I had a couple days of over ten hours sleep so I am ready to hit it again anyway. (I needed that.)

Had one cup of coffee, (I drink it seriously light.) Going for another cup now. Then, who knows....

All have a day that makes your family proud.....

Served with a Samoan while stationed at FT. Campbell in the early 80's. Went to Jungle Training school in 81 and was off one afternoon trying to knock some coconuts out of a tree with some big rocks. He took over saying that is not the way you do it and proceeded to climb the tree like it was nothing. Grabbed a view coconuts, threw them down, and showed me how to shuck them on a big rock. Guy was a big dude too.

I worked in the mines with, and have a lot of good Samoan friends. They are great people, that stick together at all cost. They loved there basketball. We would go to the Deseret gym in Salt Lake City, and play back in the 80's, and no one would call a foul on them 😂

Good morning everyone

I've been doing more hiking and trail maintenance this past week. My wife is trying to get back to her normal self again...this Alpha Gal and Mass Cell Acceleration stuff is tough. Pine Mtn Trail Conference meeting tonight before the ball game.

Man, this BB season can still go either way. Hopefully it will be a stress free victory at Rupp tonight. Heading to Lexington tomorrow to get more biopsies on my nose to see what is going to be done. Hope the first biopsy got all the cancer (basal skin cancer) and I won't need a nose job. lol We'll see.

Too much going on for Dad and I this week and we can't make it to the lake during this warm spell. Soon, hopefully

Have a good day and GO BIG BLUE!

Your story reminds me of when I lived in Bowling Green with my aunt and uncle. My uncle was a radio tech for the State Police. He would get together with some troopers and play basketball. I was 6'-5" 175, Those guys beat the hell out of me when we played. And somehow I fouled them all the time.......They would laugh about me playing rough.......

Had one pulled last Fall. Supposed to start implant process in 3 weeks - allowed time for jaw bone to grow in after synthetic bone graft. $4K+ to go.

Engineering Sr GD got her first job offer yesterday! From Textron Corp Plant in Augusta, GA. Make all kinds of electric vehicles there (not road cars) - airport tarmac tugs, golf carts (LOL w/Augusta), warehousing, etc. Made my day/week/year/years. She/we've been sweating it with the tough hiring environment. Will still be looking. She wants to work in a manufacturing site.

Horrible loss last night! I was wanting Pope to work out so bad, just not sure he will. Told my cousin, something is wrong somewhere, mostly it's the NIL, ruining college sports! It's not I want to go certain college because of the name of the college, it's what college will pay me the most! That right there causes problems with teammates, I've seen it in the workplace!!! Jealousy!!!

Howdy folks. Just catching up after being too busy to check in for a day or so. Getting numb to the Cats' failings. There comes a time in these recent seasons, back to, oh, 2021 or so, that I just start hoping for basketball season to be over so I can put the aggravation and disappointment behind me until November. We reached that point Tuesday night, when I let that miserable game by a terribly coached, modestly talented team disturb my sleep. A long way from what we expect from Kentucky basketball, in coaching and player pride.

All is well otherwise. My son is still waiting a decision on Alaska. My daughters are doing pretty well, and my wife is busy at the hospital. Today is the last day this week in the city for me. You all take care.

Sir's (And ladies when they show up.. Ms. Bev @Bkocats.),

My apologies again for a leave of absence. I intend to keep the memory of this thread better kept up on a daily basis simply out of respect to many here and many no longer here. We had some good ones that no longer post or are gone. I am thankful for having known several and also to be able to still converse with several here now.

I am careful who I associate with though I am nothing special, I have had my reasons as my work for a long time was work that was monitored closely. (Many of you know what that means.) I won't go into details but I worked within the DOD for a long while in multiple capacities and multiple agencies. I am thankful as I told many of you that I always thought I should have done twenty years and retired in the military but could only do four years. I did twenty as a civilian and four years as a contractor before that so there is that. I am thankful....

If the Lord doesn't take me home I do not plan to stray away again from this thread as it deserves respect. (Thanks MdW too.)

Good morning everyone

I hope all is well and prayers for those in need of them. Not much to say about the BB team. That home loss really hurts our chances in a lot of ways. Oh well, on to better things in life.

I saw a thread on RR that Bert's celebration of life will be tomorrow. Anyone here able to make it?

Meeting this morning and tomorrow morning. I may try to get some trail maintenance work in tomorrow before the game. I need the distraction.

Enjoy your day.

Good morning folks. Cold, steady rain here. I jogged three miles in it and a hot cup of coffee has rarely tasted better.

Wish I could be there to send off Bert at his celebration of life tomorrow. He was an interesting guy who seemed to have lived a full, useful life.

Back to work for me, from home today. I hope you all stay dry.
