They're a demoralized program with a key de-commit and a coach on the hot seat. Double digits 72-59

RU 66 - Minny 62

Not pretty but Pike and the team get the needed W. Survive and advance.

Any B1G team can beat any other B1G team on a given night. But Rutgers is not losing this game to Minnesota.

Before the game there is some incident on the campus or in the state of MN that puts a curfew on the people.

We have a sluggish start which isn’t made any better by the worst officiating we have ever seen. I hate fans complaining about officials but even I am convinced one of them is on the take.

We are down 36-33 at half. Cliff and Cam have 3 fouls. Paul has been thrown out of the game for something.

With 5 minutes left we go on a 8-0 run to tie the game in regulation at 66-66. Cliff,Cam and Aundre have all fouled out. The lineup is Simpson,Chol, Oskar, Dean and Wolf.

Game ends up going 4 OT and is tied 75-75. Before the 5th OT there is a delay and the officials are on the phone. All of a sudden the time left on the scoreboard goes blank and the number 85 is flashed on the Jumbotron. Apparently the B1G commissioner has turned the game in to a ELAM ending as we are up against the curfew.

Chol hits 3 3 pointers with the last giving RU 85 points and ending the game.

Minnesota is not good defensively; significantly worse than the average Big Ten team. Rutgers scored 90 points against Minnesota in the previous meeting. While I wouldn't expect a repeat of that, scoring more than 65 in this particular game is not a stretch. The defense you're facing matters.

If this game had been played in January, I’d feel a lot more confident. Can’t see the offense doing much but if the defense can keep Battle and Garcia in line, we should be able to get out with a win.

The first game was February 1,2023.Since the Michigan State game Rutgerts has averaged 59 points a game.I agree the defense you are playing matters but what also matters is how the Rutgers offense is performing even at home. All Rutgers fans would like to see the team score at least 65 points. For that to happen the starting five can't have two players scoring less than 10 points.

February 1, 2023 was one entire month ago. You make it sound like it was a different era lol.

Arena should be dead... They're having a terrible season combined with a 6pm local start and probably more focused on screwing the hated Badgers in their final game on Sunday.

Looking at their last 12 games (all losses), Minnesota was averaging 54 points in the first 8, and then 69 points in their last 4. So it seems something has changed offensively for them.

Still, the fact that they’ve lost them all, regardless of how much they score, tells me their opponent is setting the pace of the game. I think if we control the tempo and the boards, we’ll win.

RU wins 71-64.

I wonder how many Big 10 teams we have faced have allowed that opening tap dunk play we run for Cliff. To allow that play it’s like you didn’t even scout us. Minnesota allowed it last game (going from memory). Their defense was horrendous. Even if we shoot sub-par we win.
RU 70-54.
