Notah Begay just called it on Keegan. He's really going to catch criticism putting English and Morikawa back out this morning.

Just need to keep it with 3/4 going into singles tomorrow. If not, no chance. They HAVE TO come out in the afternoon session and put a dent in the lead. I think the biggest problem is, these USA guys just do not like playing "partner" golf. The do better being out there just them and being accountable for just them. The rankings justify it. Also, the Euros are just amazingly clutch in Ryder Cup. They do not have better players, they have better strategy. And seem to care more, USA guys just show up, get paid, play golf. They do not approach EVERY shot as do or die.

As many predicted, Morikawa was a terrible Captain pick. Should have gone with Maverick who is a lot more reliable on the greens.

The course setup (especially the speed of greens) was really stupid. Euros are just whipping them on the greens.

They have to be within at least 2 at end of day. If not very little chance. Euros only need 14 to retain cup.

Scheffler is going to weight the American team down for a long time. Most boring man in golf.

That’s just ridiculous. Nicklaus or Hogan weren’t exactly the life of the party. Learn golf.
I've played half my life and my handicap is very low single digits. I'd beat you left handed. Get a life with that "hiding behind the internet insult" crap. Idiot. I didn't say a word to you. He's awful in a team format. Enjoy the rest of your "life".

What a choke shot by Sheffler from 116 yds. Good grief. This team is so screwed.
He doesn't even want to be there. He's said he doesn't even keep up with the history of golf and basically all he said when he won the British open was "cool, thanks".

Comparing Scheffler to Nicklaus shows a person's complete lack of knowledge of the game of golf. Offensive.

Come back here in 20 years and see how he stack up to the Golden Bear.

I’m not comparing them… yet. But at this point in their careers they’re fairly comparable. You made an incredibly dumb comment. Now you’re mad because you got called out on it. Go take a long walk or something.

No dog in the hunt, but how did the competition stack up to Jack compared to the players today ? By the way, Scheffler has been running golf for the last 3 years. His demeanor or beliefs have NOTHING to do with how good of a player he is. Look at the stats, that is the only thing to go by. I have said US guys do not live, breath, eat, and sleep Ryder Cup, but it has nothing to do with if Scheffler is the best player today (he is).

If I were the US players, I would donate all half a million dollars to something worthwhile

Hell, I bet on Europe, but even I thought the pairings for US were terrible this morning.

Having said that, I don't know who you could expect to beat Rahm-Hatton or Mcilroy-Fleetwood, the way they are playing.

You turn a major championship level golf course into a Quad Cities Open setup and putting wins. They’re doing it way way better. And it means more to them. Unfathomable decision making by Bradley. He shouldn’t be allowed near another Ryder Cup.

Throttled on home soil. Loudest minority of fans deserve it for being a complete embarrassment to the entire country, but that's NY for ya.

I mean it’s no different over there. Rory needs to just enjoy the fact they’ve been outplayed badly tee to green in this match and are up 2. He’s being a sensitive *****.

Ehhh . . . I don't know. You can't hear what's actually being said to the players. Some of it may be over the top. I did think it was great when Mcintyre made a great putt and turned and blew kisses to the crowd. 🤣

I get that. But how come it’s always only Rory who is offended? You think our guys don’t hear offensive things over there? He’s winning his match and they’ve been out ball struck for the most part. Just enjoy that.

I’m done watching this event until the US can put a team of guys out there that wants to win it as badly as the entire European team wants to win it.

I agree with ya to some degree. But absolutely everything has gone their way. Including stupid decisions by our leadership.

True. But my statement doesn’t only apply to this year. The US regularly gets beats in this event. With a very few rare exceptions, I almost always feel like the Euro team and it’s players care far more about winning it than the American side does. I can’t put my finger on exactly why that is the case, but I feel that way a lot in this event.

I agree with ya. But our guys aren’t striking the ball bad. This one has been almost all about putting and good fortune. I mean Scheffler flies one in the hole and it bounces out off the green. The way things have gone had that been a Euro it would have stayed down.

The Euros are not only better, but they look much more interested. USA team should be embarrassed.

This will likely end as one of most lopsided losses in a long time.

Chamblee mentioned on the GC a few days ago about the analytics the European team does. How it's far superior to what the US does. I know stats isn't the end all be all. But it makes you wonder how the Euros for the most part seem to make better decisions wrt pairings, strategy, etc. Of course out playing your opponent trumps everything.

You can use all the analytics you want. Players still have to hit good shots and make putts. The US players simply have not performed well. What that reason is I do not know. The US has no shot when its best player cannot win points. It’s been a massive failure that hopefully makes them take a very hard look at what they are doing and make serious overhaul changes. Ultimately, this a strong Euro team.

The Euro's are flat loaded for years to come. The Americans should take the money they made and give all the entry fees back to the American patrons.

Our prep for this has been bad. However this whole thing has been about putting. Which is talent but also a degree of luck. I’d guess the ball striking stats are pretty even. The euros have fairly average putters who can’t miss. The US teams good putts all lip out. The mistake was giving them flat, slow greens which is more comfortable for European players. That baffles me. This course should have been set up US Open hard.
