Sometimes the ignore button is essential on this forum. I'd hate to see you give up since you have been making a lot of good points and have done well in trying to be objective and factual. Some posters are just going to be abusive if you try to post anything that is not total negativity and whining. You don't have to see their posts anymore if you choose.Challenge accepted. Looks like I’m doing another film session. I’ll let you know what happened on every single rebound in that game. After I’m done doing this, I’m probably just signing off this crap and not returning. I’m really getting irritated at the conversations on here. It’s always so petty and dishonest — I really hate that. I’ll do the film evaluation for you and I’ll tell you literally what happened on every rebound — which you’ll flatly reject anyway and then go back to complaining about everything with zero respect for nuance, detail or context.
I hate the idea of making a safe space for myself. I can handle extreme negativity. I have little tolerance for dishonesty. It irks me to my very soul when I’m trying to engage in good faith like that. Half the time I forget it’s a message board and talk to people like I’m in person. Bad idea lolSometimes the ignore button is essential on this forum. You were talking about quitting the board entirely. It is not creating a safe space to ignore those who are nonconstructive and disingenuous. I have ignored several of the worst but I still have no shortage of detractors. I can tolerate a lot of disagreement but there comes a point to recognize some are just not worth the time.I hate the idea of making a safe space for myself. I can handle extreme negativity. I was just expressing my anger. I like the board too much to leave it. Just venting. KSR+ costs too much. You were talking about quitting the board entirely. It is this here. He is always exclusively negative. It is his MO. He has a whole history of it. The next time he is ever positive will be the first. If you don’t want the reputation of being exclusively negative, then at least be fair and objective time to time. That’s all.
No, that’s definitely not my intention. I apologize if it was interpreted that way. Purely was speaking only for why I don’t do that and what it feels like to me when I do it. I’ve only ignored one person and it was one of the Anons. I absolutely think no ill of anyone who uses it. Please forgive, not my intention whatsoeverIn that case your safe space comment wasn't very fair. I was just being positive towards you and trying to help you out. You kind of threw an insult my way in return.
If it bothers you put me on ignore. Seems silly getting upset over other opinions on a message board but whatever...It is this here. He is always exclusively negative. It is his MO. He has a whole history of it. The next time he is ever positive will be the first.
No problem. I have preferred not to use it myself but incorrigibles just get to be a waste of time. No, that’s definitely not my intention. I apologize if it was interpreted that way. I can make a suggestion for you if you need one to mute for good. The orange Anon that has a number ending in 1780. So extreme even I have them blocked. Lol. I appreciate you. We have different views on football/basketball dynamic but I always think you bring a voice of reason to the basketball situation, which is desperately needed right now.No problem. I have preferred not to use it myself but incorrigibles just get to be a waste of time.
I'm not upset. Just pointing out that is how you are. Whether you are right or not, you are always negative. To be fair, you are not alone. If it bothers you put me on ignore. Seems silly getting upset over other opinions on a message board but whatever...
I do tend to be negative without doubt but to be fair it was mainly the last couple of seasons with Cal where it seemed like he had given up and this season where the team has frankly looked terrible. The Pitino years and early Cal years were amazing but I wasn't on message boards then.I'm not upset. Just pointing out that is how you are. Whether you are right or not, you are always negative. Fair enough. We are ALL frustrated. I do believe we all want to win. Some just get "riled" a little quicker. I am probably too patient. But this early in the season, I have to be...otherwise I would need to give up watching sports.I do tend to be negative without doubt but to be fair it was mainly the last couple of seasons with Cal where it seemed like he had given up and this season where the team has frankly looked terrible. Yeah I do overreact at times over games. My wife sure does lets me know about it when I am cussing the tv out.Fair enough. We are ALL frustrated. I do believe we all want to win. If the truth be known...I do plenty of TV cussing. I just try to get over it before I log on. Sort of, take a deep breath, count to 10. Otherwise I would be a miserable person, I think.Yeah I do overreact at times over games. My wife sure does lets me know about it when I am cussing the tv out.
Not that deepYou were talking about quitting the board entirely. It is not creating a safe space to ignore those who are nonconstructive and disingenuous. The sky is falling. The air is evaporating. The walls are closing in.For all of the Chicken Littles out there, the sky is not falling!
Not excuses, but facts, facts that we need to overcome, even if it takes a few games. We are playing without out starting PG (again). We played UNC without our starting PF, and yes we got out-rebounded by 12; the PF fill-ins made 4-10 shots while he makes 62%, and we only lost by 1 basket. But we NEED to figure out the PG spot, which I think means JJ an Aberdeen playing outside their comfort zone some.
While never expected to be a factor in the first 1/3 of the season, we do have hope to strengthen our C spot the last 2/3 (or at least 1/2) of the season with JQ, which means Garrison can hopefully sit with Tow & Horn.
Now to look at the bigger picture. How many seasons has BBN (me included) been happy all season with our play, been happy with our season come Selection Sunday going into the NCAA-T? Over the past 50 years I would say 78, 84, 91, 92, 93, 96, 03, 04, 10, 12, 15, 17. That's it, only 12 seasons!!! Not even in 98 when we won the championship.
The ship can be steered back on course. Players can get healthy, other players can step-up, the coach can make adjustments. So don't give up on the team, on the coach, too early!!!
Yep. Hard to argue. Things have to change soon.1-7 last 8 ranked games with Pope….but guys it’s okay, rainbows and sunshine!
Usually when things are not great you look for improvement to get a grasp that “the sky isn’t falling”. But we’re not seeing improvement, we’re seeing regression from the end of last year into this year.Yep. Hard to argue. Things have to change soon.
Unfortunately, this is true.Usually when things are not great you look for improvement to get a grasp that “the sky isn’t falling”. But we’re not seeing improvement, we’re seeing regression from the end of last year into this year.
She told another poster that I was mentally ill because I called her negative 24x7, which she is. She's been told the same thing over and over and over by all kinds of other posters. Like I said, apparently we're all "mentally ill" . Ugly words, but her exact words. She also uses multiple accounts. Pure insanity.I'm not upset. Just pointing out that is how you are. Whether you are right or not, you are always negative. To be fair, you are not alone.
2014 too. By midseason we looked terrible. Rafters was panickingLike I stated, we have also seen this level of panic in seasons like 1997, 1998, 2011, 2019
UK fans were more than happy on Selection Sunday in 1995 (1 seed), 1997 with a 1 seed, 2022 when we had a 2 seed, 2005 when we had a 2 seed, 1998 when UK had the 2 seed, 1986 with a 1 seed, 1980 with a 1 seed, etc.For all of the Chicken Littles out there, the sky is not falling!

Yes, those of you who are bipolar (ALL or NOTHING) are much better. Either we are going to go "40-0" or "we aren't even making the NIT".Not this guy again. Good grief.
40-0? I'd settle for a ranked with this year and playing some defense. One out of state high school recruit too.Yes, those of you who are bipolar (ALL or NOTHING) are much better. Either we are going to go "40-0" or "we aren't even making the NIT".
