I'm glad it has benefited MSU a couple of times, but the park is too big to go along with the dead bats and balls they use. If you square up a ball and crush it, you should be rewarded for it, and the way the bats and balls are now, you're not being rewarded for it in this gigantic park. The OSU guy mauled that ball in the 9th against us and it still fell short of the fence. Porter crushed a ball tonight that would've been a grand slam, but it was caught on the warning track. When you've played the CWS at TD Ameritrade for 4 years and not one single person has hit a homer to centerfield, it's a problem. I agree with Kyle Petersen, who said they need to use the minor league baseballs, which have lower seams and is wound tighter than the college baseball. It would increase distance without having to change the bats again.
